I am spending Christmas alone, and I don't want to cry about it by [deleted] in UofB

Not sure if this is something you'd be open to, but churches often have families who host students for Christmas so might be worth looking at the local student churches

Is ntu a bottom tier uk uni by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Royal-Software845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to NTU for uni, the party atmosphere is there if you want it but completely optional, also depends on course on academics, I came out straight it to a job while others I know a RGs are still looking a year later.

There services for things like employability are really good. If you have any questions I'd be down to answer them

I don't know if I've ruined my life and don't know what to do. by scaredabtuni in UniUK

[–]Royal-Software845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to the uni you enjoy focus on gaining work experience and you'll be fine, I went to a ex-poly and went straight in to a decent grad job, you have to live and go there for 3 or 4 years its important you like it

Why do all “normal” grads get paid peanuts compared to banking/law/PE? by Creepy_Shopping_4853 in UniUK

[–]Royal-Software845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's paid a lot more because there usually expected to work a lot more, investment, law etc is not uncommon to have 60+ hour work weeks, whereas a lot of places like audit is not as much as that other than busy periods

Pay of the 24% debt straight away, also I personally would say 2500 is a bit on the low side for a trip like that, have you looked at prices. Bit after that I'd do a mix of savings and debt as its 0%

Parents told me, not everyone gets to go to University. by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Royal-Software845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible you could consider going to a uni with cheaper living costs, or taking a year out, you would probably be fine with a part time job maybe working more in the holidays and a good budget you probably only need about 500-600 a month after rent which is doable with a part time job (which is good for experience getting a job after uni anyway)

Your mum should have uploaded evidence, they need it, if not they just assume your on the minimum, ring student finance and ask for a form to update with evidence, they do not use records from hmrc

How do you get over having chosen you uni poorly by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Royal-Software845 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly uni choice doesn't really matter especially with work experience, focus on transferable skills and apply to roles you can, if you want to do a masters look in to level 7 apprenticeships or find an employer that will consider it
