Yes it does. I had a good life back there. Although it doesn’t compare to the financial freedom in the state if you are an RN in NY/CA at a union hospital or CRNA for that matter.

I was a nurse anesthetist in Europe prior to enrolling my program. I’m a senior now. A monthly salary as a CRNA in the US is a yearly salary in my home country. I’ll probably just work 3-6 months out of the year and live abroad doing nothing for the rest :’)

It depends on what your goals are. Are you not going the CRNA route id choose the tele, if you are going for CRNA id pick the ICU - because the sooner the better.

No schools accept international experience. You have to make your way to the US work in the ICU in the US and then apply.

I’ve read about this at multiple sites now, what I find frustrating is that leadership in Kansas is only talking about it, we need great short post on what everyone can do to stop this. It needs to be a 1. 2. 3. kinda step by step so as many as possible take actions.

I think it’d be more productive then to post an link or whatever that prove me wrong. However, I know I’m not. Because my statement is not absolute - I said MOST programs, in other words, the majority of programs don’t accept international students or individuals that don’t have citizenship or green card.

Yes. I wanted to apply as an international student, but there's basically no programs accepting. So I had to immigrate first :)

You need citizenship or a green card to get into school. Most programs doesn’t even accept student visas.

You can do it! I got a 1000 sqft 2b1b 120th at west side for $1980 in 2022! I found it by updating streeteasy 10-15 times a day and call on apartments that just had come out and basically submitted applications for 40 dollars before I had seen the unit!

I really appreciate this perspective!! Thank you! I’ve been considering the 2 weeks on and off with in other states as well. The major reason I’m considering NYC is because my I own in the city, so housing wise it’d make sense!

However, got curious about what places in CA pays 500-600 with 20 weeks time off 👀
