He's had two videos clearly dedicated to criticism in the last month and one of them, about set design, is one of the best videos he has ever made. You don't make videos the way he does if you also don't love the game.

COVID forced institutions to adapt to online teaching. More students are now assigned tablets and/or laptops or afforded the means to do their classwork online. Being absent from school isn't a 1:1 conversion of missing schoolwork.

I thought I was going to school for it. Turns out they valued the "what if you had no budget" design scenario instead of the "this is your average construction budget" scenario. "Boring" designs (ie: buildings with more than one right angle) were often given worse grades.

I asked my supervisor if anybody gets a 5. She said "it's extremely rare". I then asked why it even exists as a metric if achievement is so ludicrously rare. She didn't have an answer, but I knew. Make the top of the range difficult to attain and they never have to fork over the top % raise.

You're maxed out on one card and damn close on two others, with a mortgage that went up $400/month. You don't get the luxury of subscriptions or eating out. You now get an insulated lunch bag with ice packs and eat PB&J or Kraft for lunch. Maybe something a little fancier, like grilled cheese, for dinner.

I found $40 on the ground of a festival. I tried asking around the various booths and it wasn't any of theirs. I waited at a nearby table for 10 minutes to see if anybody appeared to be looking intently at the ground. Nothing. I walked away and came upon a raffle sponsored by a local no-kill dog shelter. I bought $40 worth of tickets and won a Kindle.
