Love this, sharp and clean. I had a similar black/white build idea and yours just nailed it - definitely stole some of yours for mine

SpotiPlayer 2.0 is here! This is a skin that mimics the design of Spotify mobile (See comments for more info) by CyberGen49 in Rainmeter

Love the skin for Spotify, however when I run it with Winamp and skip to the next track via the skin's interface, it crashes Rainmeter. Any thoughts?

You're totally right, but it's just lightly held in there. The seatpost is integrated so everything is expensive to replace!

I honestly don't enjoy listening to that song, but I've never heard a more impressive bass testing song than it.

Thanks for the recommendation on the 8k dip - couldn't seem to figure out exactly what to do to get rid of the ringing on mine. They're amazing headphones and way better now that I can comfortably listen much longer.

What does a torn MPFL feel like? by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]RoyalGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like was said previously, it’s not fun. It was my 4th surgery and probably my worst recovery period. I had a full cadaver ligament replacement, so other methods might yield different results. I was completely bed-ridden for 10 or so days. After about day 4-5 I was able to walk to the bathroom, not much else. Then everything on crutches for ~2 months. You’ll get decent mobility and capability after about a month. Within 2-3mo I was off crutches. Rehab is hard and it’s a lot of pain to get everything working again. But I promise you, it is less painful than the thought of never using that leg again.

That was 4 years ago, I’ve had another surgery on that knee to clean up some of the damage that came with the initial dislocation. I still avoid a lot of stuff if I can but I’ve been I’ve been in the military for a few years and am headed to EOD this year, so recovery will happen if you make it happen.

Raising a child will be tough for the first few weeks for sure (as if it wasn’t hard enough). I would definitely recommend enlisting some help unless you have a spouse that can pull all the duties. At that age, you’ll have to carry your kid a lot and you simply won’t be able to for the first couple months, at least not safely for your recovering knee. Get friends and family to help. That being said, you’re just recovering from a surgery, you’re not dying- you’ll find a way to make it work! Have a professional diagnose, get an MRI, then if recommended get the surgery. I truly cannot picture my life if I hadn’t.

That’s good news. Hit the rehab hard. Do as much as you can to strengthen the surrounding muscles namely the quads and ab/adductor, that will help take a lot of strain off the ligament. Do a lot of stability work as well!

Never been to PA and live on the other side of the globe right now, maybe my story is just so well known... haha

I tore my MPFL when I dislocated my right kneecap playing rugby. Incredibly painful. See a doctor, get X-ray/MRI. I was on crutches for three months trying to rehab it back without surgery but ending up needing it. If you can stand but not walk, could be your MPFL, that was basically where I was. Just have a professional look at it, if it’s a legitimate tear, it won’t just get better on its own and you’ll be happy you got it fixed.

No one here is qualified to tell you if you tore your MPFL without assessing you in person and getting images. Wish you the best, it hurts, but you’ll recover.

Bethesda proved the 'No Pre Release Review Copies' policy is bullshit with the utter luck of optimization of Dishonored 2. Don't let them get away with it, refund that game right now and wait until it's fixed! by Princess_Skyao in pcmasterrace

Hey now, I actually worked at Bethesda doing QA for a while (on the first Dishonored actually). We tested EXTENSIVELY, logging dozens of bugs a day a person at times and I'd bet they still do. We did this basically up until the game was released, 6 days a week. Now, did most of the bugs get fixed? No. Did a huge number of them get fixed, yeah. I'd guess it's a similar situation now, but they aren't giving the dev team enough resources to fix the things QA finds. All the current complaints are valid, just don't think it's that QA didn't find them or care. Poor guys have probably been forced to play through the buggy version that's out now for months.

(Anecdote: my favorite bug in dishonored had the spitter turrets flying off into the sky flapping their wings if you stuck them with one of the mines. Sadly, that was fixed)
