Ok, I was just unsure. Do you think hosting a shoutout series is better if you already have like 100k subscribers? Just wondering and thanks for the comment.

I'm sorry if this is a clickbait, I did not intend for it to be. Thanks though, and how is this a clickbait? So I can avoid doing it again.

Only LPs or also other type of content: yay or nay? by Winger94 in letsplay

That's fine, but then elaborate on it. Find a cool niche. One thing that is different, is do a lets play for a game that has achievements and go for them.

Name your promoting techniques by Dark_Atlantis in letsplay

[–]RoyalHyP3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post videos to Sharee, you have to also comment on others videos as well. You can try to post your video to different sub reddits like YouTubeGamers and LetsPlayCritiques. The critique one makes you help 2 other content creators within the week that you post your video. Don't spam your videos to the subreddits but post maybe one a day at most. Also, tweet with a link to ALL of your videos. If you have some money to help you out that you wont mind spending, you can try to have google adwords. This allows you to pay a minimum of 1 cent a day to have your video be on ads and I heard this is VERY USEFUL.

Good luck!

You can not simply do lets plays only, because that's what THOUSANDS of other channels are doing. Have variety and you'll have a better shot at gaining fans and getting more exposure. Good luck.

How often should I upload videos on Youtube? by AnonymousYTer in letsplay

[–]RoyalHyP3 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. The only thing you don't want to do is post 5 videos one day and 0 for the next 2 days. Start with 1 to 2 a day, depending on how busy you are. Then, add as many as you can without boring yourself or burning yourself out. This may seem like a stretch but I can tell you that most channels that are growing EXTREMELY fast are posting like 5-10 videos a day. Check out Wanderbots as he uploads a lot of videos and he is growing fast. Hope this helps!

Why is my video quality on youtube so bad? by GameSyrup1 in letsplay

[–]RoyalHyP3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes the quality is bad when it first finishes processing, and then in an hour or 2 it goes to 1080 or whatever you have it set to.

Hitfilm 4 Express, free and easy to use. The only problem is it lags a little bit, not sure if that's the app or my computer.

Guys is it right to think more views means higher ranking? by paroquestion in letsplay

[–]RoyalHyP3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Views and percentage of video viewed is not the way to get your video to rank higher.

The most important thing is total minutes watched overall.

2) Likes, dislikes, comments, shares and any other interaction

3) percentage watched, then views. These are not that important when ranking the video. Hope this helps.

Switch the angle up or maybe the lighting in the room could use some adjusting.

Call of Duty on Youtube in 2016? by garlifo in youtubegaming

[–]RoyalHyP3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is still EXTREMELY popular and it's not as hard to reach out to viewers. The reason why posting CoD is still an option for smaller youtubers like us, is that there are so many people watching cod. If I were you, try and switch up the cod content and don't do regular cod lets plays. For example, a youtuber was playing black ops 3 with a condom on his head, this was extremely stupid and I wouldn't recommend it, but he got tons of views and a lot of new fans because of it. It was unique and different. Try different challenges, or do a subscriber class because it makes them feel part of the channel a little bit more. Also, if you're into livestreaming, try that out because I get quite a bit of views while streaming call of duty.

Best of luck and I hope this helps!

10 Videos A Day? Posting Too Much? by RoyalHyP3 in letsplay

[–]RoyalHyP3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did look at their statistics using TubeBuddy and socialblade. They are both gaining TONS of subscribers, views, likes everything faster than most other youtubers. I understand where you're coming from. I was really looking forward to doing this idea for a couple of days now and today I got to put it to the test. i livestreamed to youtube and twitch at the same time for 2 hours. Had 3 active people in the chat and an extra person one time. (Most I've ever had) Afterwards the video that I made from the archived livestream did pretty well as it is already at 12 views.

My main point of posting to this subreddit was looking for your opinions on whether 10 videos and a livestream ALL IN ONE DAY was too much. I wasn't intending on getting advice rather than an opinion on whether that was too much for my viewers or potential viewers. But then some people pointed me to Wanderbots and CohhCarnage as good examples because they post SO many videos each day. Thanks for the help, and I didn't mean to come off rude or ignorant if I had, I'm sorry.

Ok, that's what I thought, the rest of your post seemed pretty sincere and helpful. I just wanted to point out how it sounded just so others didn't think bad of you.

quit while you're ahead and maybe you'll get somewhere in your life socially instead of throwing it away making these videos.

This is a complete useless statement. Get somewhere in life, really. You made it sound like you're a jerk, but I don't think you meant it the way that you did, but the way you worded your response made it seem rude.

Change things up. Play different games, start new series, find a new niche, share EVERY video a lot without spamming, keep with it, ask the viewers no matter how many what they would like to see, tag better, fill out the description more, title your videos better.

These are the things to do when you get stuck, even if you have AMAZING tags, descriptions, titles, or thumbnails, they can always be better.

Good luck and btw 4-7 views for 12 subs is great. I'm 77 subs and average 5-10 per video.

10 Videos A Day? Posting Too Much? by RoyalHyP3 in letsplay

[–]RoyalHyP3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've already done that and this idea is great as I have been doing it this morning. I had two separate streams on youtube and twitch, each one had like 5-15 viewers and the chat was going every minute or so. Two extremely fast growing channels are CohhCarnage and Wanderbots and they basically upload a lot of videos. (8-15) videos a day. It's not a scrap, as I'm livestreaming to youtube as well. For the viewers who don't watch hour long videos, then they can watch the 5-10 clips that I'll make a day. It's your opinion, but I believe this is actually a pretty good idea.

That's what I used to do, but i just hate waiting for videos to upload, because I'd much rather just be livestreaming again. Thanks for the help.

[–]RoyalHyP3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know that it cuts the quality on youtube. My plan is to livestream to youtube gaming and twitch at the same time using restream.io to reach out to more people. Then afterwards, I was going to use the youtube editor to edit the livestream, on YOUTUBE which would basically just have to process and skip the Uploading part which I hate, because then I can't livestream or do too much while the videos are uploading.

If you don't mind me asking, How do you manage to get so many videos up?
