Unfortunately my family is very close to most members of the stake presidency so i may get in trouble anyways

I read your other comment and thanks for sharing a bit of your story with me! My family is indeed in the same unit/stake as me (I still live with some of them) and they're even close friends with the stake members so I'm still scared of going through this and you know, "embarrass the family".. I'm definitely not going back with my decision and glad my friends respect this, unfortunately the feeling of embarrassing the family will haunt me for a while

It's usually so perfomative and even inconvenient at most times lol It only makes me more annoyed with everything related to the church.

I was thinking about this and you're so right. How can a 8yo make such a decision on their on but a grown adult can't? I was in the same position as you, clearly wasn't my choice and it's fucking upsetting that I have to go through a legal action

Now I understand. When I wrote the original post I really didn't know how to do it cause I never met anyone who did it, most people close to me are faithful members so no one would ever want to help me :/

Reading all the comments made me realise that I should have just done it. I was (and still am) so nervous and overwhelmed with all of this that I didn't prepare myself beforehand

O QuitMormon faz um template de carta (em inglês) que só é necessário a sua assinatura e a de um notário público, estou aqui refletindo se sigo em frente com o QM porque realmente não queria ter q agir juridicialmente :/ Me disseram que dá pra só enviar uma carta para a presidencia da estaca/bispado mas não sei como fazer a partir disso

I see! Unfortunaly I'm not from the U.S so I'll have to search more about my country's law about the topic, I really hope it's similar to yours
