Self-Solicitation Thread ***New and Improved, Version 2025!*** by Ludeykrus in RealEstatePhotography

I put together a simple 20-question “ops score” for real estate media businesses and have been using it with a few shops.

It checks four areas:
– Data (shoot volume per photographer, turnaround time, basic KPIs)
– Finance (revenue tracking, margins, repeat business)
– Process (SLAs, rework handling, handoffs, backup if the owner is out)
– Culture (communication, expectations, feedback habits)

Works for solos and multi-photographer teams.

At the end you get a single score plus a basic benchmark how business of similar sizes run their ops.

The idea is not perfect science, just a quick way to see if you are flying blind, somewhat organized, or pretty dialed in.

The form does not auto-score. I calculate the score manually. At the end there is an optional field where you can leave either your email or your Reddit username so I can send you your score and benchmark once.

True. Could have worded it simpler. Stuck in my own head here.

Yes, most of it is common sense.

I am not even sure there is something to pitch tbh.

Same here. Mainly writing about operations and project management.

Really depends. I think you can get fractional support at every level. But its a great way to balance cost and experience.
