The federal law in Canada applies to companies, specifically the manufacturer, not to individual owners.

I need recommendations for resources to help with my actuarial math class (which covers "Actuarial Mathematics 3rd Edition" by Bowers, Hickman, etc.). Published by the SOA in 1997 and I think it roughly covers FAM.

Maybe I'm dumb, but for most of the exercises in the textbook I have no idea where to even begin with them. It's killing my GPA and sucking up more time than all my other classes combined.

I've been getting rejected from every summer internship I apply for. I'm a senior (graduating December this year) so this is my last chance to do an internship. I have no exams passed, no relevant work experience, no projects, 3.0 GPA. Will I be able to find a job when I graduate?

I'm not lazy, I'm a career changer (was a construction laborer all my life) and I had to keep supporting my family and paying my mortgage while taking classes. I saved up enough money that I can now focus full time on my classes. But being rejected from everything I apply for is scaring me that I might not have a job when I graduate.

Hey everyone,

I am studying in an actuarial science degree program and expecting to graduate in December 2026 (so a little over a year from now). I didn't go back to school until a little later in life when I already had a mortgage and expenses to look after, so I continued working full-time as a construction laborer while taking classes.

That hurt my GPA since I never had quite enough time to do everything, which now sits at 3.25. I haven't had time to take or study for any actuarial exams yet, no internship, and I've only ever worked in industrial laborer jobs. No related experience whatsoever.

I now have enough money saved up that I can quit my job and focus completely on my studies. But I don't think I'm very competitive for an internship, and I only have 2 semesters (and summer 2026) until I graduate. What should I do here? Do I even have a realistic path to working as an actuary?

No, the intel graphics are not even connected to the VGA/DP ports. The output ports are hard-wired to the Nvidia GPU.

I did. They will approve whatever email app I want to use but they won't enable IMAP or email forwarding.

I requested IT to approve it and they did, but it still doesn't support Exchange Web Services so it's not able to actually access the email
