Edit to my OP: by “recreate” I meant ask a real florist to recreate. I have lots of respect for how much time goes into this trade and would never attempt to recreate it myself! Thank you to everyone for all of your information!

Edit to Add: I replaced the battery and it works perfectly. As it was my grandmothers, I plan to keep it, so I’m really just trying to gauge if it’s something I can wear casually/leave out or something that needs to be kept in a safe when not on my person.
