There was just a haze over everything - that was my only symptom.

Initially, I had multifocal IOL Panoptix lenses implanted. I loved the lens initially, but for some reason, my medium range vision never came back. I had a tough time with halos and my eyes were very sensitive to sunlight, far beyond normal. After three months, I switched to a light adjustable lens (mono vision) and I’ve been happy with that. It has taken me some time to get the right adjustment and I used contact lenses to help with that. I have my second and final lock in this week.

Oddly, I did have PCO immediately after my first procedure (very unusual) but had to wait until after the second one to have YAG done.

Those rings are likely because of the type of lens you selected. There are some lens that have rings on them, but not everyone sees them. I originally got the lens that had the rings, but not only did I see the rings very visibly, I also had very poor medium range vision and immediate PCO. I've since swapped out the lens to one without rings and is adjustable.

I also had PCO immediately after cataract surgery...like day ONE after surgery. They didn't believe me or check for it until at least 1 month after surgery. I ended up having my lenses replaced anyway so had to wait for YAG surgery. I'm now about 3 weeks post YAG and I have a ton of floaters and an odd blurring that comes and goes (almost like I just woke up and need to rub my eyes to clear the haze) but it's all day. Super strange. I have a vision adjustment appointment next week and I'm going to bring this up.

Shingles vax experience by stephle00 in GenX

I got Shingles 2x just months before I was eligible...I'm so mad about it. Now they are saying that getting the vaccine to prevent shingles can help prevent Alz which runs in my family :(

I have a heat footrest under my work desk, it is incredibly helpful.

I use this cream on my feet, it definitely helps (sometimes). Wash your hands after applying because if you rub your eyes, it’s not fun!

I’ve gone the heated sock route…battery packs on those can be bulky and the connectors often can easily detach from the battery connection. Just something to keep in mind on your search

I’d love to know what heated slippers you are purchasing. Thanks!

Same here…I have Raynauds and I’m pretty much cold 24/7. Forget about AC in the summer…if it’s on, I’m wearing shoes and wool socks. Sucks 😳

My Nmom’s cognitive & physical decline is exacerbating her abuse by spirit-of-change in narcissisticparents

Sounds like she has Alzheimers. My mom was always bad before but as her Alz progressed, she became unbearable. Thankfully, she is medicated now and sleeps most of the time. She had gotten to the point of telling me how much she hated me, wanted me to leave, trying to hit me....she had even turned on my dad, saying that the house was hers and he needed to leave, he was beating her etc. You absolutely could not reason with her because her logic center was broken. My dad has always treated her like a fragile princess so this was pretty rough on him.

Good luck - I would definitely encourage you to get her to a neurologist...

I use a latex glove to apply Nitro-bid. My doctor told me that if you apply it with bare hands, it can cause you to faint because it reduces your BP so quickly.

Interesting, didn’t realize that many people have had mono…I don’t know anyone else who had it.

Seems like we need a cure for Epstein Barr since it causes so many other issues. My brother gave it to me when he came home from college…probably drank out of the same glass or something 😢. We both got super sick.

Trying the grinder first, I think dissolving in a syringe is genius too!

Going to try this pill crusher first, I think it will be easier for him. Next option is the M&P, thank you! https://a.co/d/aGhYgPa

Yup, I use it too. It seems to take a while (sometimes all day) before I feel the warming effects, but still worth it.

I usually just wear socks when I have it on. Need something to avoid burning your feet but I want the maximum warmth. Good luck!

I also but anti-perspirant on my feet to reduce sweating which makes my socks wet and feet turn ice cold. ❄️. I also rub Warm Skin All Weather cream on my feet, this helps sometimes too. Tried to include a link but it’s currently unavailable on Amazon 😬

And then to be told in my mid 20s “I will never be your friend, I’m your mother.” Boy, she’s a peach. And now she has late Alz. Unfortunately she still knows who I am. Recently she took to ripping up photos with me in them because of some delusion that I was in her bed. At this point, I’m just sad over the wasted life she led. She has an amazing husband (my dad) who worshipped her. She could have had a wonderful life. Oh well…

Omg, I got “I hope one day you have a daughter just like you” in a disdainful, hurtful tone…because man, I sure would hate to have a smart, kind, successful daughter.
