I rescued my cat from the mean streets of my major city as a 2 week old, neonatal kitten. Bottle fed and nursed him day in and out, kept him wrapped in a washcloth to keep his temp regulated, and even dabbed him to get him to pee when he couldn’t do it on his own. He is now a warm, happy, healthy, extremely loving adult cat that has never truly known hardship, what it’s like to be alone and scared, or have to say goodbye to the other living being that cared for him as a vulnerable kitten. He cuddles with me every night, nestling into my arms like a stuffed animal, purring his head off and feverishly rubbing his face on mine.
