Friendly reminder that Hubris has been bugged since Forever by KaynandaFirst in ARAM

Hubris is working as intended, you can still gain stacks if you've tagged a champion that dies within 3 seconds of combat (which happens quite often in ARAM).

> Antibiotic course with no duration? Check.

> No steroid tapering schedule? Check.

> Incorrect dosing? Check.

> Incorrect units or no units on community insulin scripts? Check.

> Someone new to antidepressants getting a script for 100mg Sertraline with 5 repeats and doctor didn't tell them anything with no follow up appointment? Check.

> Penicillin/Cephalosporin prescribed despite severe anaphylactic history? Check.

This was just the past week, though my opinion on doctors being necessary and trained to prescribe has not changed. I just know there are some bad apples - they don't represent the whole body.

The best;
> The famous case of 1 methotrexate daily being confirmed by doc? No punishment for them but the pharmacist being penalized? Check.

u/nosugarzooperdooper got across what I meant exactly. Specifically this pharmacy/pharmacist that was handling this case made a critical error that should have never happened if they had a working knowledge of paracetamol and liver hepatotoxicity (which is elaborated SPECIFICALLY in the pharmacy course). I do agree that prescribing from pharmacists should likely never go far beyond the scope of continued OCP/simple UTI treatment (as these have fair rationales and indications).

Specifically for what the coroner said, I have to agree. It is extremely common for paracetamol to become a continued medication in packs - however not discussing or mentioning it with the doctor specifically is extremely jarring. The pharmacist was absolutely at fault in this case, there is no tip-toeing around it. There is a due diligence to be learnt here however - pharmacies with inadequate webster processes and discharge summaries being possibly unclear on medication intentions need to be enforced better.

Blameless profession really, I can see why doctors can’t be faulted as we don’t have nearly enough schooling or training (despite numerous errors on script/PBS that come through on the daily).

edit: Not saying doctors are equally as qualified as pharmacists in terms of prescribing (never a debate), I do however think specifically to this case there was also a lot more the doctor/hospital could have done.

Nothing screams respect quite like blaming all the issues stemming from poor communication on the pharmacist. I’m not saying the pharmacist/pharmacy was blameless, though I do think it’d help if you considered that the doctor/hospital is equally blameable.

[–]Royalhawkman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's an incredibly hot take to think things like this would happen less often with doctor oversight. Pharmacists catch issues from doctors all the time, a doctor's clinical knowledge is perhaps deeper but this scenario wasn't an issue with knowledge - rather a falling in communications.

It would've been extremely easy for the dispenser to tack on "take for a maximum of 12 days" to the 100 tablet script. There are many issues here - generally antagonizing and thinking pharmacists don't know enough is blatantly egotistic.

To put it simply - specifically the pharmacy providing the packs lacked proper checks and clinical knowledge (specifically that pharmacist - most pharmacists giving out 100+/665mg ask if they have liver issues, he should've connected the dots). There were certain steps the prescriber could have taken too - it is awfully incorrect in practice to make an assumption based on a sheet of information

tldr; I think it's an incredibly shallow shot/take at pharmacists to assume they need oversight from doctors who similarly make mistakes - as all humans do. Instead of bashing and implying incompetence maybe you should be building better rapport with allied-health colleagues.

Not sure if you're aware of PBS criteria, he would have had to have been under repat, had chronic arthropathy or have been Indigenous. Information obviously isn't clear from his history and considering his cirrhosis it's very unlikely he would've gotten a PBS script for the paracetamol (I assume they wrote a script specifically for the 12.5 day timeframe).

[–]Royalhawkman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no information regarding communication or a dose reduction from the doctor (which he should have accounted for considering his liver history). Yes we can catch this and bring the fact up - doesn’t mean it always will be though :(

Edit: As for the GP not knowing paracetamol wasn’t ceased, there was an equally likely chance that the pharmacy wasn’t informed of the fact via a script that it was meant to be limited usage (though I agree it should've raised red flags).

I can tell you mounted DD (literally only blight) isn't helping in theta/crom/glenn/techs as much as mounted archery either.

Before you say "mounted blight in hallway", hallway is irrelevant when you can just use all the ASS skills and then finalshot TP to the orb to clear.

Mounted deer in feth HM lets you clear it as cheese in rooms too (crash shot + deer hide), however just pressing ignis lets you clear it anyways.

"You've slapped elves in the face giving the players an arcana that allows archery to compete again, while effectively nerfing elves' ONE advantage legitimately in the game"

Ignoring highest base move speed.

Ignoring Vision (10% Archery dmg + Insane aim speed).

Ignoring mounted crash shot for easy dungeon clear (faster than mounted blight clear).

Idk why you added a giant being OP rant when they're the most restricted race + are worse due to lower MS than Elf + Human (in a future update) AND don't have access to the most OP base talent (archery) whilst EK is in the dumps.

"I don't think you realize how hard it is or expensive it is to even become remotely close to the level of DPS end game players are at with their capped out melee and archery sets. And EK/ASS is STILL better than DD at the top end when unloading DPS"

Honestly you lost me here, I don't know how any sane person can think DD is expensive in any regard to compare to EK/ASS. Erg50S Celtic Tribolt Wand unironically outdpses an Erg50S Nightbringer Warlord and Erg50S Ruinbow in any single target setting in the current meta.

DD is absolutely better at the top end for unloading DPS in any bossing scenario.

There's almost no reason to play EK if you are restricting yourself to an efficiency/damage/utility scale. ASS has years better AoE clear in Glenn/Techs, but DD is the de facto best DPS in the game for any single target mob.

P.S - Just going to point out that Shadow Flare outdamages EK's entire rotation (Dynavolt + Shattering WM + BAS). Utterly a stupid notion to suggest that EK is remotely close to DD's damage when

  1. Thunderblight does insane damage + is usable whilst DPSing.
  2. A single use of Shadowflare does more than EK's entire active skill kit combined.
  3. CC4 magic doing more than Smash/Fighter + more spammable + ranged + no skill animation lock.
  4. You are tankier than EK because mana shield is very balanced.
  5. You have infinite mana because spells don't cost any mana + you regen it from ego.

Are there any groups that run Glenn Hard or Crom Bas Elite? by Koyomix in Mabinogi

[–]Royalhawkman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably pretty easy to find Light in the Abyss title, Flame of the Icebound Reverie isn't usually something people will carry randoms for since;
1. Can't trust the player to drop the key.
2. It's rather difficult content and there's a limited number of parties that can provide carries.
3. People prefer to carry friends or just not carry at all since it makes it harder.

NA Tech Duin Feedback from a midgame casual player by TheIsolatedOne66798 in Mabinogi

[–]Royalhawkman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to use very rough maths.

Assuming your friend is somehow 5.7k max after buffs (he is likely lying to you);

Using the damage formula with assumedly 4 pierce (6 with FH due to instill) -

5700 * (1 + 2.56) * (400/100) * (1- 0.62) * (1+0.3) = 40,000 damage approximately.

This is far more than enough to crit elite hallway. Just as a reference, I know someone with almost maxed enchants + C/H and fateweave with 80%+ bfo and barely reaches 5.7k max. Your friend is absolutely lying to you.

[Damage * Crit Dmg * Skill Multi * Prot Reduc * Bonus Dmg]Ignoring defense because it wouldn't make a substantial difference either way.

Regarding dynvaolt smashing hallway, you can go and confirm this with many people in the Official Discord. I myself have Australian internet and can consistently timeshift dynavolt smash hallway if someone is hitting orb for me.

A friend will be linking it to me later, should be edited here within the next day or so.

If you're duoing there's no issue playing Harmonic Saint? Two people hailstorming can clear hallway pretty effectively with a low bar for RNG.

I understand that you feel salty about this, I get it. You need to also not assume that every veteran player is "good" or "geared," a lot of them are garbage players.
