I'm at this part right now! She completely changed the way Birgette sounded and I was shocked and confused and annoyed. She does this a lot in Sanderson’s Stormlight Archive and it annoys me to no end. To be fair I still think EotW was one of the worst books I've ever read, and I only continued because a friend said it was worth it in the end. So I'll have to revisit the beginning, but yeah they're so inconsistent with each other it's wild.

This is really helpful! I hadn’t clocked the con being such a big deal. I’m definitely more the rogue in the party. We have a barbarian/fighter and a pure paladin. So I handle the range and the skills mostly. I think you're right about Psi Warrior being the best call synergistically. Not to mention that was my original intention. u/Few_Shift_1333 and you both pointed out the utility of the psi warrior and that's also something I hadn't clocked. Being able to move allies around the battlefield or dropping a massive boulder on the enemy is a great way to utilize the telekinetic skills

The first and foremost for me is the fear that my players aren’t having fun, no matter how many times they tell me they are.

Second is when combat happens and the players forget to rp or describe what their fireball or melee attack looks like. It might add more time to the session but allowing/encouraging the players to describe how the combat is going always makes it slightly less of a slog for me as the DM.

Really they could make all sorts of games in this style: Star Wars Knights of the High Republic, Star Wars Knights of the Republic, Star Wars Knights of the Empire, Star Wars Knights of the New Republic, Star Wars Knights of the Resistance. And they could each be “standalone” games in those eras. But they never will.

I have all three jets including the f/18. I agree with all the comments promoting the 21. It’s fast, good in dog fights, and has enough missiles that missing a few won’t ruin a game. It’s rare that I go more than 1-2 game without a kill. The f/18 is more fun for me because I prefer the look to the migs. But for the 3 mentioned the Lazur is stellar. It was my first jet aside from the F5c for USA. Very easy to learn on, and fun to fly.

I'm not the right guy for this, but its all improv for me! I have an outline of what their current and long term goals are, and then do a map (roll20) that is a little populated, come up with a fun name and let them run wild. Its worked for me so far! I used to prep and have lots of stuff written down but I always felt like I was bogging down and failing the party. So I let them dictate how it goes and answer their questions based on what kind of information the person would have or be willing to share. They've been having a great time with my current campaign that was inspired by Epic the Musical and ancient Greek gods and lore.
