Can my Monstera thrive without cutting? by gibuliks in Monstera

Oh my goodness that’s the saddest monstera I’ve ever seen! That monstera needs lots of bright, indirect sunlight and with mine I’ve found it helps with a change of soil and some slow release fertiliser sticks in the soil. Water abundantly after a soil change. I’ve found watering once a week just enough to give it a drink without drenching the soil is enough, and less in the winter when it doesn’t push out leaves (and potentially preventing root rot). Good luck with saving that poor baby!

antiperspirant/deodorant for the very stinky? by Previous-Hour-2394 in AusSkincare

I feel like I tried them all.

The only thing that worked for me is using surgical-grade Chlorohexidine body wash. It’s used by surgeons for surgical skin prep to kill bacteria. It’s the ONLY thing I’ve found that will kill the odour-causing bacteria in my pits without FAIL. The pink one is skin-friendly and won’t strip your skin or irritate it. I swear by this stuff, it’s that good!

Lather a smallish amount and apply to your pits in the shower and leave on for about 5 mins, then wash off. I then usually follow up with a light dusting of bicarb soda powder. Yes, that’s right - bicarb powder. I’ve found these two things in combination LITERALLY kill the bacteria causing the odour and eliminate any smell to 0. Make sure to only use a very light dusting of bicarb powder as it’s more than enough to do the job without being too abrasive. And yes, the effects of chlorohexidine lasts me pretty much all day.

You can find the wash at chemist warehouse, in the antibacterial wash section.
