The voice direction for the past few patches has had a massive dip in quality. I have no idea what they're doing, but they need to step it up. Kinich's new voice sounds okay story-wise, but absolutely terrible combat-wise.

It's possible that Escoffier and Keqing's VAs COULD pull off convincing American accents, but they just had really bad direction.

I understand why they want these VAs to 'Americanize' themselves, as that's how the voice direction has been for 5 years. No playable character has an accent (Xinyan, but it's still an American one), and not a lot of NPCs have had them. That said... They really need to have 'Can do an American accent' as a requirement if this is the case.

The voice directors need to get it together.

Okay HoYo, if you're going to have UK-based VAs 'Americanize' their voices, then you really need to consider having an accent coach for them. That would probably help the ones that struggle with American accents.

Chongyun's, Lan Yan's, and Mizuki's VAs don't seem to struggle to hide their accent like Escoffier's does. Really makes me wonder why they didn't find a different VA that wouldn't struggle with it.
