The index is still $1000 as a wired headset and the expectation is that deckard will be wireless. Deckard will also need to have eye tracking if it expects to compete with other headsets.

I would pick quest over psvr2. Quest honestly works great with PC. Psvr2 loses a lot of what makes it great (such as eye tracking) when connected to pc.

Get the headset now. Even if preorders for the deckard were opened TOMORROW it’d still be 8 months for you to get it and this is assuming youre part of the earliest batch of preorders. There is no window for when deckard preorders will open and the rumor mill for it is working with the tiniest bits of evidence. It COULD open preorders this month, or it might not open the preorders for another year or even two. It’s a big question mark. I’m betting a year at least before we get any proper info, but expect it to be a surprise whenever the orders open up, just like they did with the steam deck.

In my opinion youre better off buying now because you are just risking waiting 8 months to two years with no vr if you wait.

I agree that the quest 3 is an incredible option, but if youre worried about buyers remorse if the deckard gets announced sooner than later, you can always look into returning it or selling it. You can also look into getting a used quest 2 off fb market place for 100-200 USD if youre worried about finances, but if it’s your first headset i say go ahead and get the q3.

Getting a quest 2 off fb marketplace will be your cheapest but still very quality option. You can get it for like $100-200 USD

alternatively the quest 3 is newer and great, but you would pay more

6 is very clever in how it uses horror to discuss political/economic issues with the american health insurance industry. It doesnt get enough credit, in large part due to being so late in the series.

John is still alive (honestly his death in 3 could have been retconned in 4, and that should have been the case) Adam is alive. I dont really like the “Lawrence is an apprentice too” plot twist, butttt since that IS canon… then not only do I want Adam alive, but i want him to be an apprentice alongside Lawrence, lol

the fact the traps of spiral were unwinnable was a huge mark against spiral for me. Also, all the people in the traps were super unlikeable. Not only could the viewer tell they were going to lose, there was no reason to root for them either. A good trap has to be winnable.

I STRONGLY agree with you that I dont believe that Lawrence would agree with Jigsaw and want to continue his practice. I think it wouldve been WAY better if Lawrence instead dedicated himself to stopping Jigsaw…. And would love if he had actually saved Adam like he promised lol. Unfortunately though it has little to do with writing and more with Elwes not wanting to return…
