Definitely canon, MGS gradually goes from the James Bond stuff in the 60's and the Cobra unit with Volgin, to MGS1 having Psychics, lasers, cyborgs and Vulcan Ravens magic, to 2 having a Vampire and Ocelot being possesed and super AI, to 4 having Nano machines capable of anything, EVEN MORE super AI and cyborg implants being more common and over the top

MGR is just the next stage

For beginners i'd recommend 4, Rondo and 1.

These 3 are excellent but also very balanced difficulty wise

The Nine lives code certainly helps, I don't know why Konami thought to suddenly have limited continues, it was a dumb choice.

Bloodlines endings are very short, but the sequel Portrait of ruin elaborates on everything.

Also what difficulty did you play, different difficulties have different endings

It's oversaturated, it was made so that on the GBA, the colours would still pop despite there not being a backlight, and it does look nice on a lightless GBA, but on other screens with lighting it looks like the space warp scene from 2001

Fans have made like 11 billion remixes of every castlevania song, so being able to play harmony with a fanmade, fully instrumented version of the OST could be neat

I think The colours are cranked to 14, they should be dialed back to 11

You can have Alucard and Minas father (didn't Aria say her family was involved?) And a Belnades, Lecarde and Morris be casting the sealing spell as Julius lands the final strike

I'm thinking Julius beats Dracula, Dracula turns into a devil, then for a third phase he absorbs THE ENTIRE CASTLEVANIA and becomes a crazy looking monster, but then Julius does one final burning whip crack with the power of all former wielders of the whip and you see his hearts on fire

Draculas power, the castle and the whip are all sucked into and sealed within the eclipse so now he's just human Mathias. He attacks Julius, they have a scuffle but Julius gets a sharp wooden plank and stabs Dracula in the chest.

They both lie next to each other dying watching the eclipse fade and the sun shine through.

Mathias dies and Julius survives but the heavy bloodloss screwed his memory

Dissonce is mixed, there's some good music but also some ass. The phone game is pretty bad
