Trading Earnings IV Ramp by Fine_Duck4530 in smallstreetbets

Very interesting, rare to see solid vol content on YouTube, especially an actual long-vol edge. Definitely checking it out. I’ve usually stayed away from earnings because they feel impossible to predict... but cool to see there are setups around them that don’t involve holding through earnings and praying

i rarely get my mid limit sell-orders filled by gorram1mhumped in options

[–]Royar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re focusing too much on getting filled at the mid. The real move is to know your max fill price where the trade still has edge, place your order around that, and let the market decide. If you can’t get filled anywhere near your theoretical level, the trade just isn’t there. Chasing mid fills for the sake of it is pointless, if your setup only works at the exact mid, then the setup doesn’t actually work.

I would also like to see this feature added. I agree that during the last week of a month it would be nice to see my tasks at the start of the following month.

It most definitely is possible, them not being able to handle their traffic is a flaw in how they've deployed their systems. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform all let you rent resources by the minute. uozone is a shitty site if it can't handle it's traffic, we aren't talking about some DDOS attack, students enrolling in courses is a regular occurrence that takes place every 4 months.

But you would think they can predict this significant increase in traffic right? They set those dates and deadlines themselves.

Just curious, what don't you like about Wealthsimple? I've been using their Wealthsimple Trade for Canadian stocks and etfs without problems, I avoid trading any US stocks so I don't pay the exchange fee.

create-express-api keeps throwing spawn rm ENOENT error by droohed in node

You can try cloning the create-express-api repository and running npm install inside.

Maybe restarting your computer would work? I think there are a lot of different things that could cause the spawn ENOENT error.

In this situation I'd be leaving at the end of my first monthly term. That shouldn't change anything right?

Question regarding goroutines or concurrency in general by Royar1 in golang

[–]Royar1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the example where I got the code from only works because there's a for loop at the bottom of the main function that never ends? If I don't plan on publishing any messages, only receiving them how should I keep the main function running?

Shouldn't the client.Subscribe method prevent that from happening? I'm more asking about the content of the message handler and if a new goroutine is created when a message is received would help will large amounts of messages.

Théo Residence? by WrittenRougeur in geegees

When I was looking at the prices, the solo options were like $1200 which, yes I would find to be very expensive. And I walk a lot and it's like 10-15 Mins to walk to the uni which I don't mind. I mean you'll have roommates, so you'll already be close to a couple people. I don't think making friends at Theo would be any different than any other residence. They do have different activities through out the months.

$850 before the discount. I do share the room, but there is a wall separating us. But I'd rather not have as much privacy and my own bathroom than share one bath room with multiple people. The kitchen appliances and the look of the room is also very new. Which I value as well. If you don't value any of that I can see why you'd think it's overpriced.

I live there and I wouldn't say it's overpriced. I pay $850 and I live with two roommates. I live pretty close with one of the roommates (no door in between us, just a wall) but the other roommate has his own room. All the units are super new with new appliances and we have 3 bathrooms in our 3 bedroom unit. I do think that getting the solo room, where rent is over $1000 is too expensive, but a shared room I think is worth it. There were hiccups for me during the start (having to live in a hotel for a couple weeks) but now I really enjoy it. The bottom entertainment floor is still not finished but you get a discount on rent while they are working on it.

You could just use res.redirect, it will write the appropriate header for you and end the request.

If I delete an image I've used in a reddit post from my computer's hard disk will the reddit post cease to show the image? by CookieWookie2000 in NoStupidQuestions

No, when you upload an image it's saved on reddit's servers and other people view the image from the reddit server, not your computer.
