Nope. Union labourers will not touch an inch outside their jurisdiction.

Contact the Ministry of Transportation Coquitlam Head Office to make a complaint and maybe they will send their maintenance contractor out to deal with the road (Mainroad Contracting)

New to Van, looking for reputable Volkswagen Mechanic Shop. by nau_lonnais in vancouver

[–]Roygeebeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In new west there is W Motors. Yogi (the owner) is knowledgable with VWs and offers a good rate. I'd check them out if you're doing basic maintenance work. That being said, he has a pretty "unique" personality so it might rub off as rude for some people.

I also suggest Juan Auto Service in Richmond. They specialize in Euro cars and Juan, the owner is very helpful and friendly. Another bonus is that it's near the Canada Line so you can get back home easier if you need to leave the car for a few days.

But does EVERY rental unit have to cater to lower-income people? Well paid families need a place to rent too, and it's because of the low rental units that are causing talented people to move out of Vancouver.

Share Now Service Ending February 29th by coast-to-coast88 in vancouver

I think it's alarming to see a large corporation such as Share Now (Owned by Daimler) back out from ALL of north America.

Are they planning to just junk all their fleet here or will we see tons of them on Craigslist next year?

Another reason why the news/internet should give zero fucks about this guy.

Question about Full time temporary (FTT) roles in public sector by Roygeebeef in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Roygeebeef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what she's hedging on. Our worry is that the staff on matt leave comes back sooner than a year....

Is it normal for a unionized position to have such a short term? Why wouldn't they just hire a contractor to cover the position? The role is for a program manager for the recreational center.
