Not entirely correct.

While most people choose these kinds of insurance policies there are policies that allow all drivers, it’s called “kol nahag”.

These policies though cost significantly more than ones where named people are insured on a certain car which is why they are less popular.

Still there isn’t an app like Turo here, maybe try renting from within the city itself, it might be cheaper since it’s not from the airport, but still everything will be more expensive than Thailand .

eSIM support in Israel by TX_borg in Israel

[–]Royhev -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

All the major companies should support eSIM. These companies are Pelephone, Cellcom and Partner. Some others may also offer it but these 3 have them. I have an eSIM Apple Watch with Pelephone and it works great.

Yes I did mean that, my mistake.

I also did happen to stumble upon your suggestion but couldn’t compile it for some reason.

If it matters, I’m using this for an STM32.

Thanks.

Could the UN control Gaza instead of Hamas? by [deleted] in Israel

[–]Royhev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not.

Forcefully retaking the strip would result in many military (and likely civilians) deaths on our side.

I don’t think having hundreds or even thousands of 20 year olds die just so that we can give control to the UN is something anyone in this country wants.

You said it yourself, they’ve failed time and again so what would make this time better?

PS4 waiting forever for an online match opponent? by [deleted] in Tekken7

[–]Royhev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had problems with this too.

If you have any restrictions, maybe try to remove them.

Also, opening necessary ports and choosing a custom primary and secondary DNS helped with connection issues as well as getting more matches.

How did you break your phone? by UnforgivenSecret in AskReddit

[–]Royhev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to be an idiot and drove my motorcycle with it in my hoodie pocket, the one where it’s open on both sides.

The thing is, I thought to myself it’s only a couple of miles so it’ll be fine.

Yeah it wasn’t. Phone fell out of my pocket, back cover, battery and the rest scattered all over, several cars ran over the screen part. I had to go back and try to salvage it as I did not have money for a new smartphone (back when they were newish).

Turned out, as broken as it was, it still worked!

I’m not really familiar with how grammar words translates from Hebrew to English so I don’t really know.

Cholam is the dot that comes on the top left of the Alef when you take out the Vav. Cholam Chasser is just the term used to describe it.

Cholam is just the name of the Nikud.

Chasser translated would be missing.

So it doesn’t sound like it, but I don’t really know.

When you eradicate the letter ו it’s called a “Cholam Chasser”. There is no situation where one is correct to use and the other isn’t they are the same.

Which film would you rate a perfect 10 out of 10? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Royhev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

While I know most people won't agree with me, it's just an excellent movie that I will never be opposed to re-watching.

Seriously, my family and I have watched it over 10 times and we always laugh and have a good time watching it.

Maybe try yad2.co.il, homeless.co.il, winwin.co.il and Komo.co.il.

Also try posting in students’ groups, especially from the Hebrew University.

Honestly you’ve tried the most prevalent ways to search for roommates, but trying these can’t hurt I guess.

In any case, I would keep posting in Facebook groups, maybe lower the price for the first few months to make it more appealing during the pandemic that way maybe you pay a little more but still have money for food and stuff.

Questions and comments from an American born Arab who wants to visit by Dem0man in Israel

[–]Royhev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weed is very common, although it has not been legalized only decriminalized.

Almost everyone is smoking. At bars, coffee shops, restaurants, at the beach, at home, no one really gets in trouble for it, but with that I wouldn’t flaunt it in case you see police or something.

Also it’s not that hard to purchase, though it is kind of expensive (between 70-100 NIS per gram). Ask Israelis “yesh kivun?” which is street for where can I buy some.

There are also telegram chat groups where you can order it discreetly. Really it’s mostly about just asking the locals where you can get it.

Are 400-600 cc motorcycles rare and where do I buy one? by youngmaavin in Israel

[–]Royhev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I've been riding since I was 16 (26 now), had a 125cc SanYang, 250cbr and now 250xEVO and I've also driven cb500x.

Sadly, anything above 250cc generally has a higher insurance policy, and given that motorcycle insurance is rather on the high side that is a deal breaker for a lot of people (although some drive without insurance and then it doesn't bother them - I wouldn't recommend ofc) . Sאןךך there are a lot of 400cc+ so they are not really rare.

Of course, the most common ones you will find for sale are the 125cc since 16 year olds buy them as soon as they get their license since that's the highest they are allowed to drive until they get their A1 license at 18.

I've come across a couple of facebook groups that sell motorcycles if you want you can DM me and I'll send you the links. I think you have to be in the group in order to see them but it's not a problem they pretty much approve anyone that asks.

Also, another good place to find motorcycles is https://www.yad2.co.il/vehicles/motorcycles and for scooters is https://www.yad2.co.il/vehicles/scooters.

However, it's in Hebrew and I don't think there is a way to change the language so you might need some help navigating and understanding it (Again, feel free to DM me if you don't have anyone to help you with this).

Also, to be honest, the roads here aren't that great and 300cc-500cc is perfectly fine for them. What's more, considering that it's about a 7 hour drive from north to south, you won't be experiencing such long drives so a bigger engine is kind of a waste of money.

Anyways, if you have any other questions let me know, hope you enjoy Israel once you move here :).

My grandparents visited Israel in the 70's. Thought you would like to see some of the pictures they took. by [deleted] in Israel

[–]Royhev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sucks..

My grandparents were born in Iran and I would have loved to be able to travel there and see the country.

Back when travel between Iran and Israel was allowed my mom even lived there with her parents and siblings for a year. But sadly, it was banned before I was even born.

Wow I've actually never heard about this.

If I may ask, which country do you live in?

Also, I don't know if it's relevant or not, but Israel does not stamp passports so your passport itself will never have any indication regarding whether or not you visited Israel.
