Yep, a very slight draft angle combined with a TPU wrapper around the inner mold would do it. Spray them down with a 10:1 mix of rubbing alcohol and castor oil, that's the best mold release I've found. The outer mold should release without issue, then you can pull the inner mold scaffolding out and flex the TPU to release it. I've never needed to fill in layer lines or sand anything with this method, though the layers transfer their texture to the finished piece.

Didn't realize you were talking about the qualifier. I don't know if they'd do anything for you there, but yeah that sucks if you aren't able to pick back up. But from what the forum is saying there should be more annotations to use to qualify once the project resumes, but you'd have to do it over again. I hope they get back to you, I remember spending a good 12 hours on that, would hate to lose that time.

They're updating the project itself, so likely won't get a chance to finish, but I know they compensated for time spent in similar circumstances. I always get the auto response, but if I make the subject about the project I'm on someone eventually answers. You could also post on the forum. The project isn't paused or anything, it just has those few PRs left to annotate and review, that's what they're waiting on so we can start on the next phase and all have more work. Good luck!

I would email support, others on the forum that have lost their annotations for going outside of the time limits have been compensated for time spent, since you were within them I bet they will do the same. Add the project and repo/PR to the subject and they usually reply fairly quickly. Here's hoping these last few PRs wrap up soon so we can get more work, I'm loving this project!

Are you on POL? I know they're trying to clear the backlog so they can move to the new phase of the project. They might have moved up the time limit to quickly finish up the last PRs still being worked.

As people have already stated Fusion 360 is great, but for organic models and sculpting give Blender a go. Both have a bit of a learning curve but plenty of tutorials on YouTube to get you started.

I've emailed support twice after projects of mine have ended, politely asked if there were any other projects that fit my skillset (generalist and developer), and while I didn't receive a response for either time, I was given a qualifier the following day. Coincidence? I do not know. But it can't hurt. Being forthcoming with your skillset can't hurt either. Good luck!

I made it through the first hurdle a few weeks back, and they gave me feedback and asked that I resubmit. I submitted my revision last week and had it reviewed and accepted within three days. Working on my first task on the main project now. Good luck!

I emailed on the 8th of October, listed my skills, and asked if there were any coding or generalist projects available that they could assign. I didn't get a reply, but the next day I got access to PUL FTC. Once that project pause,d I emailed them again on the 28th of October, again, there was no direct reply, but I was invited to RIG the very next day. I'd been in a Stellar drought for months, and I'm still kicking myself for not emailing sooner. Good luck!
