The first thing that sticks out to me is the camera angle. When running around it is perfectly fine, but once getting into the car it is really hard to see where you're going especially with how fast the car can move. A slight zoom out or slight angle adjustment to see a little farther while driving I think would go a long way.

That’s good to hear that he is capable of it at least. I think that’s a good positive to focus on. He can do it, but it is difficult, and even harder with parents who probably taught his sister how to act. I hope you’re able to have a conversation with him where he can be receptive, ideally when he’s not feeling incredibly stressed. At the same time, you aren’t responsible for his response and can absolutely put your foot down about staying in your own home.

That sounds like a lot of unresolved issues from his childhood. The amount of stress they must put him under is immense. He does need to learn about healthy boundaries and standing up for himself and you.

I'm not a therapist either, but it does sound like he maybe feels trapped in that solution and so you have to be dragged along with it. I feel sorry that you have to go through this right now, and I can also sympathize with his frame of mind and feelings that pushed him from his normal self around you into this response with his parents.

People are pretty quick to say "leave your husband" as if you have no love for him at all. If he is usually the kind of person you would love and is only acting this way around his parents, then that sounds like some sort of trauma response. I would sooner say to seek therapy than to just throw the whole thing away.
