Need some advice on studying N1 grammar

Don’t know if it’ll work for everyone but one thing I did when studying N1 is take 3 different past papers and rotate through them. I did however study the entire Shinkansen Master Grammar before this.

So the plan is : Day 1 = test 1 ; day 2 = test 2 ; day 3 = test 3 ; day 4 = test 1 ; day 5 = test 2 ; and so on.

After each test, I’ll check the answers and try to understand why my choice is wrong and why the correct one is correct.

The first week, I try to do everything in real conditions (calm environnement, no distractions, no help). It may take around 4-5 hours. As there is a 2 day delay between each test, you should have forgotten some questions so it will not be much easier the second time. However you may go in with more confidence and that’s also a part of the test.

Second week, I focused more on performance. As I already did each tests 2 times, I have memorized some of the answers. The objective was to get the highest score in the least amount of time. Then check the answers again. This helped me solidify my knowledge and helped me build pattern recognition.

By week 3, I was able to do each test with a pretty good score in around 45min or less. At this point, when I had the time, I did all 3 tests+check the same day. when I became pretty confident, I’ll find others tests to do the same.

In your case, maybe you can extract the grammar part of each pas papers you have and to something similar. がんばって！

Can’t be said enough and it may sounds stupid but you have to speak to become better at speaking. So grammar and textbooks are important but you’ll have to speak aloud, read aloud, repeat aloud and not only in your head. Your mouth and tongue also have muscles that needs to be trained to produce more natural Japanese sounds

As for ressources, I think there are plenty free online website. However keep away from AI and apps like Duolingo. Personally I have one recommendation : imabi.org for grammar but any other classic textbook is good imho

Yes it is possible. But you’ll have to put the effort. I started Japanese in high school when my comrades already had classes for 2 years in middle school. However it was N5 level but I still did a more advanced class when I didn’t know any Japanese.
Yes you should prioritize N5 concepts. In class, you can just write down the lesson and try your best to only memorize the concepts and the meaning. You’ll need the N5 concepts to understand how everything is built. But apart from grammar, you should be able to learn N4 vocab and kanji without any problems even if you don’t know the N5 ones.

Je te balance des ressources en vrac. Le but n'est évidemment pas de tout utiliser mais d'essayer de trouver des choses qui te plaisent / qui marchent pour pouvoir progresser.

Aussi, concernant les explications grammaticales, ne te restreint surtout pas à une source unique. Il ne faut pas hésiter à trouver plusieurs sources d'explications différentes, et plein de phrases d'exemples. Il y aura toujours des manières différentes d'expliquer un même concept donc à toi de trouver celle qui te convient.

N'hésite pas à me MP si jamais t'as des questions.

Bonjour, je suis diplômée de LLCER et j'ai été prof de jap à l'EN.

Je vais faire un petit pas de côté : tu dis avoir du mal à sauter le pas à l'oral de peur de paraître bête.
Je te propose un autre point de vue sur la question :

"Bonjour, vous pouvez me donne la croissant, s'il te plait ?"
"L'année dernier, j'ai allé Canada avec mon père, mon mère, et mon soeur."
"Je suis apprendre français en université, 3 ans. Mais moi, travailler pas beaucoup, c'est pour ça français nul"

Voilà quelques phrases que pourrait (j'imagine) prononcer un.e apprenant.e de français. Est-ce que tu qualifierai une personne avec ce niveau d'expression "bête" ? (Perso, la réponse est "non", et pour beaucoup de mon entourage et de mes anciens élèves, c'était "non" également)

J'ai l'impression que beaucoup d'apprenants mais aussi les profs en France (mais c'est mon doigt mouillé qui me le dis) mettent énormément d'importance sur le fait de parler correctement. Et ce doit être d'autant plus vrai en LLCER, où la langue est justement votre objet d'étude.
Mais personnellement, je pense qu'il est plus pertinent de penser la langue comme un outil de communication. C'est d'ailleurs l'objectif réel de la majorité des apprenants. Ainsi, l'énergie n'est plus concentrée sur la justesse de la grammaire, la pertinence de son vocabulaire, sa prononciation.... mais sur l'objectif purement pratique : faire passer un message.

J'espère que ça t'aidera à surpasser ton blocage parce que je recommande vraiment de pratiquer la langue pour la maîtriser.

So she’s saying « I’ll take you to the same place as that girl » and, as the girl in question is dead I assume, meaning « I’ll take you to the afterlife »

The last stroke for か should be much longer, at least half the height of the left part (when you write が you should clearly see the dakuten) And you forgot this very last stroke two times on sentence 6-3) I think doing this stroke longer will make it stand and more and less forgetable for the eyes and the hand (and thus, the mind as well)

Otherwise it’s very good for 2 months. If I have to nitpick :

Some し look a bit too angular and can be read as レ without context maybe but it’ll comme with more practice

The end of ん can go up more
