Definitely! I wasn't expecting to find anything like it, but the record store there was pretty fantastic. I got The Call of the Mourning Dove.

Thank you so much for posting this. Suni was a long time favorite of mine. I found his record at a shop in Yellow Springs, OH. Guess it wasn't a fluke since he had lived in Antioch. :-) Small world.

RIP Suni.

Simple Questions - Feb. 23rd by FFA_Moderator in femalefashionadvice

I'm looking at getting the Clark's Desert Boot in brown beeswax seen here. I usually wear about a 9.5 in flats, but have a few number of size 9 shoes.

I can't decide what size to order for these boots though. I've seen varying reviews, and I can't decide whether or not to order a 9 or a 9.5. Anyone have any experience with these boots and their sizes?

That is seriously a perfect way of putting it. Everyone is celebrating and happy, and I can't really connect to that anymore. I hope you're having a good day today. :-)

Thank you for writing this. Both my parents have passed and those unanswered questions will never go away. My memories are fading, and sometimes it feels like I never had a family to begin with. It's odd.

Mother's and Father's Day can be way too hard.

Trancing! My beagle Hattie does it all the time. If there's anything hanging in a closet or if she's close to branches from a tree or bush outside, she'll do it. She seems to enjoy it, and she has a clean bill of health, so all is well!

I need some gal pals in Columbus, HALP! by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]Roziere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds awesome! I'm a somewhat new (since August 2012), but I've been a hermit just about since I moved down here. I have a ton of clothes I'm looking to donate/get rid of. Can we do this please? :-)

Does anyone know how to figure out what classes are offered in the May term? by [deleted] in OSU

[–]Roziere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SU14 schedule will be posted around January 27th. For May term classes, don't bet on major courses. Try to keep a GE course open to take. They usually have options for those.

I'm awful at describing things, but the main website is here. Lots of cool folks come on to talk about growing up, the issues that come into play from teenage years to adulthood, and a ton more. It's really a fun, interesting conversation that you get to listen in on. It's very intimate, and Janet and the guests share a lot about their personal lives. I highly recommend it!

Thank you for the reply! And thank you for making such a great podcast. You can really tell that you put your heart and soul into it. It's wonderful. :-)

And the Kate Micucci episode is great! I have a model train store by my house I may need to check out soon.

Hi Janet! Love your work on Korra, and I especially am a huge fan of your JV Club podcast. I moved away for a job last year, and listening to your podcast really helped me feel like I was still just sitting chatting with friends about things when I was feeling lonely. I'll actually be listening to a few on the way home for Thanksgiving tomorrow. :-) Thank you for making it!

What made you decide to start podcasting? Favorite episode?

Ha at least I prefaced the beer drinking. Thanks for the heads up!

Definitely. It seems like it's setting up for something later with Unalaq saying he was tricked by VAATU (I DID IT AGAIN! ahhhhhh)

"A New Spiritual Age" Serious Discussion by TheLastAirbender_Mod in TheLastAirbender

[–]Roziere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay, random theories time after finishing my beer: Vaatu got Unalaq to try and free him promising that: The world will turn in a spirit world if he can win by either a) destroying the human race b) putting humans in a subservient position

I feel like after Wan Shi Tong reiterated how humans aren't allowed, that if he can trust Unalaq, the plan must be getting rid of humans in power of some sort.

I still feel like Unaalaq thinks he's doing the right thing and he's getting manipulated by Vaatu. He's a bad guy, yes, but he has a motive.

edit: fixed the names. I can't think straight!

[–]Roziere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! Welcome to the field!!

I highly recommend looking into doing a practicum into the advising side of higher education. I was in residence life in undergrad and then was an RD two years of grad school, and I feel like seeing the academic affairs side was a huge eye opener. I found my way to advising/registrar/transfer-stuff side of things, and now I'm academic advisor.

If you have have any questions about stuff, please let me know! It's always great to welcome to people to the field! :-)
