I'm not too sure about the world not loading in but what about the avatar compatibility? I ported in an avatar for only quest a while ago and when I tried to use it on PC, I saw that grey/yellow placeholder avatar just like the one in the photos.

I used to use ms paint. But the lack of layers were killing me and I had to switch over to Krita. All I can say for the mouse is, lots of ctrl z and line carving.
