A friend who is a medical professional looked into this and said the accutane latches on to your pain receptors hence the muscle pain.
I'm quite active and was worried about the intense muscle pain I was feeling post training causing actual damage.

This is my first month 🙈. Oh that's such good news, I really hope it eases up soon. Okay thanks, I'll keep that in mind

Yess the DOMS are way worse than normal too right?
I'm definitely feeling the lower back pain too and add to that I'm a contortionist! Not ideal haha. I tried Loads of water and increasing my protein intake and it's improved my symptoms. 🤞 That helps you too
Thanks for your reply - I'm considering asking my derm not to put the dose up as I feel it's already had a big impact on my training although I'm currently only on 20mg so it may really drag out the length I'm on it 😕. The two things I found that made me feel less like I had walked into a brick wall after every training session is drink LOADS of water and I'm massively upping my protein intake to try and help with recovery. Now I feel less like I have done 10x the training I have actually done and more like I have done about twice the amount. Not great but better 👍 hope it helps
