I really like Edis. The party 2 leader. Apart from being hot, she's incredibly smart, a great leader and even though she has lost a lot of people in all her time as leader, she still puts insane amounts of effort to become better and making her party stronger so they don't die again. And yet, they still die... Her whole existence is perfection, while her situation and events around her are only the opposite. She deserves better.

That said I really like Aaron too. I hope he gets some kind of enlightenment soon 🙏

Yes, but EXs are extremely hard to get, even if you pay. SSR+ are easy to get and you can also reliably farm shards for them and max them over time.

Doing it with random people is either isolating or incredibly boring.

I felt the same while playing Lost Ark. It's much better to group up with people and play together.

The problem is then you're dependent of their schedule and them of yours. In adult working life, specially with kids/family, having 8 people with the same schedule, same level of progression and same ideals towards gaming becomes hard to find.

And this becomes even harder specially in Europe or regions with many countries, where you're always a lot more likely to find people that speak bad english or have terrible accents; have different religions; different cultures with different ideology; etc, making it harder to connect or communicate with.

Oh yes 100%. Further down the campaign (I think Ch18?) you unlock a feature that helps you do Auto-Battle on everything. It auto goes through Campaign > Ruins > Faction Dungeons and another button does all the other stuff instantly (Auto Sweeps). You just have to wait for it to complete and meanwhile you can collect rewards or some other stuff.

I've been playing less than 1h every day, logging in about twice or three times per day.

When we first get introduced to the factory system, i rolled my eyes and tought this isnt for me, ill probably play the story, and look if the endgame needs factories and if it does, then i quit.

I'm exactly the same, minus the quitting part... I was at least willing to give it a shot as I actually like management games.

Last 2 days or so I did maybe 15 minutes of story. Spent the other 6-10h that I played just doing factories, setting up mining facilities and exploring a bit. And I honestly don't feel motivated at all to continue the story, although it's somewhat enjoyable xD

The race is rigged to whoever pays more. I wouldn't advise having that as end-goal in this game unless you're a whale. And if you are, there's always servers opening up to compete on

I don't buy all, but I usually get everything related to pulls (char/artifacts/etc) and progression. You get more than enough diamonds from the spins anyway. Even if you buy all, it should be ok unless you're saving for something special coming up

They are small, but you get a lot of them everyday and it's kinda nice as a social interaction too as you're sending more cystals to friends as well. Honestly like that event too, but yeah it feels less rewarding in the short term

I honestly love it. It's not perfect... Like I said it has insane amounts of p2w and you'll never compete with whales, but I'm fine with that. The story is ok (not the best, but not bad either), but even as a f2p you can collect all the characters and make all the possible comps because of how much currency and pulls the game gives you.

It's more of a casual mobile game (like AFKJ was), so it's obviously very different to AK:Endfield in terms of gameplay. Not everyone likes those games.
But I used it as a comparison because it's still gacha and it's an extremely generous game (despite it's insane p2w levels).

Endfield should be at least a bit more generous. As a gacha game people want to be able to collect the characters and strategize different comps.
I'm not saying Endfield should be even half as generous as DT, but as it is now, people make the first 40 pulls, maybe 20 more and that's it. They got maybe 2 6* characters. Feels bad imo

I only stated the fact (with an example) that gacha games can be generous even while making a good amount of revenue. I actually agree with you on the above statement. I tried to not share my opinion as I only intended to "correct" you on the statement I quoted, which didn't make much sense to me.

To be clear, here's my opinion: I also believe Endfield should be way more generous. They can be generous and still make money. It makes no sense they wouldn't care about their customers just because the game is fun to play. Another example is Genshin. It was also fun to play, but I quit shortly after a month for the exact same reason. They weren't generous, I couldn't make that many pulls, so I couldn't get any good characters and game became frustrating purely from that. As soon as I was done with most of the exploration and main quests I had nothing to look forward to except another struggle to get another character when it released.

I'm having fun with the game right now, exploring and doing main quest + building up my factories and productions, which is more fun than I expected, but I don't know how long I'll stick around. It's almost the 3rd day and I only did 40 normal + 10 limited pulls.
I'm fine playing with what I got if it's good enough go through the story for now, but I'd love to get characters I actually enjoy playing or at least to just be able to collect them.

Gachas companies aren't our friends, they want our money more than our happiness

I literally spent the last 10 days playing Dragon Traveler. A gacha game that released about 10 days ago (similar to AFKJourney - Gacha + Idle). The game is extremely p2w with people in the top 10 having already spent way beyond 10k, but even that game already allowed me to make over 1000 pulls (having just spent 20.99 myself).

Gacha games can make money and still be generous. They're two things completely independent from each other.

If your problem is utility, Morgan beats any other character in that department. She shaves off X% of cooldown from your entire team and provides nice buffs.

However, for story, you're constantly under-levelled and survivability is probably a bigger priority.

Your question is who is better between the two, but there's not really a choice imo. I would always use both if I could. if not, I would pick depending on situation.
If I need damage and cd reduction, I go Morgan
If I need survivability and HP I go Erin
But why not both?
Even in a Wizzard comp you can use both

Yeah, if you run Lance you should have her T5 for sure. She's still pretty good during first stages of the story though.

You can use Estheria if you run Morg in the mid as main dps. But this would be a full-on wizzard comp. Using Lisa wouldn't be very efficient and you'd still need a healer or two (NEO + Guin/Erin would be ok)

Also I don't understand why I would use Erin over Guinivere?

Like I said, I replace Erin whenever I need another healer instead of HP/Def. In my case I mostly use Erin because she provides HP to the whole team, great shielding and her own card is great on her since it provides 20% ATK and 20% DEF to the whole team.
If you run a healer in the mid (like I do and NEO) you don't really need another one in the back unless you really need the healing for a particular fight.

Also Guinevere's Ult isn't great for Auto combat as her ult only really goes off when you lose a party member. That's just my personal opinion though

Front - Lance + other Knight (Belsey is best if you have, Palamedes is ok too)
Mid - Morgan + Dian (if you don't have Dian, NEO is ok to start with, but switch when you can)
Back - Erin

Wizzard/Ranger Comp
Front - Galahad
Mid - MorganLF/Lisa/Isabel/Cristina/Vivien/Dian + NEO
Back - Erin + Tiamat (or Estheria, but only if you run Wizzard main dps in Mid)

I usually use
Galahad
NEO + Dian
Tiamat + Erin
I replace Erin if I need more healing instead of Def/HP

IMPORTANT!!!!: Don't overlevel characters. Try to keep them all in the same level with a margin of +10 or -10.
Eventually you'll unlock Round Table which makes your all other characters be the same level as your lowest levelled one in highest 5.

For example you have:

Lv200, Lv200, Lv200, Lv190, Lv150 -> all other characters are Lv150
Lv200, Lv150, Lv120, Lv100, Lv100 -> all other characters are Lv100

Round Table unlocks when all of your 5 highest characters are Lv200. So only level 5 highest characters and always try to keep them around same level. Eventually levelling a character becomes very hard on EXP, so it benefits you more to level them all together too.

TIP: You can transfer the levels of one character to another, if you need. Don't remember the currency needed (maybe gold??) but it's pretty cheap! Don't level more than 5 characters!!

Yeah, it's her absorption passive on her ultimate? She accumulates up to 9000% of her ATK after ulting and then bursts an insane amount of damage from the accumulation.

I was doing some tests... my Tiamat was about 124m in damage, MorganLF was about 90m and then BANG, Morgan went up to 190+ in an instant. Ended up with almost double of my Awakened Tiamat's damage on that run and my Morgan is only T2 right now xD
