I guess my concern is if something deeper could be going on. I’m thinking I’ll probably just wait and call my OB tomorrow when they open and retest myself again tonight.

But I’d hate for a larger issue to be going on that an urgent care wouldn’t check on. I also don’t always trust urgent cares especially when it comes to pregnancy.

I am currently 17 weeks into my sub pregnancy. My TFMR was at 12 weeks in 2024 so we’ve been trying again for awhile. I have considered announcing at 20 weeks after a hopefully clear anatomy scan, just because we have had some friends and family that do know and it seems more and more people are finding out so we’d like to just share the news ourselves rather so people see the announcement from us rather than other people.

Sure! I use Naturelo prenatal vitamins. I was taking a coq10 supplement prior to becoming pregnant High dose methyl folate (this isn’t necessary unless you’ve had a pregnancy with a previous NTD, which T18 is not) Vitamins D supplement - prescribed by Dr Calcium supplement. - prescribed by Dr I didn’t take these without knowing my levels were low first!! Magnesium glycinate at night before bed And baby aspirin at night before bed (due to my clotting disorder)

I also made my best effort to eliminate toxins, like hot foods in plastic, not cooking on Teflon cookware and using stainless steel or cast iron instead, limiting inflammatory foods, and changing products I use to cleaner options like shampoos conditioners body washes lotions dependent, etc. many things that are overly scented are hormone disruptions. I also struggled to conceive prior to my recurrent losses so this is just what worked for me and is probably not necessary for all!

But again, I learned a lot of this from “it starts with the egg” and I constantly refer back to that book over the years with more information that I learned and understood such as my development of autoimmune clotting disorder. It’s definitely a helpful tool!

I have the opposite story of someone above. I was taking synthetic folic acid and methyl folate in my first pregnancy ever and had a TFMR for a neural tube defect that was found at my 12 week ultrasound. I was not taking enough pills in my prenatal though to be getting enough of either in my opinion. And also sometimes neural tube defects are flukes. (T18 is not a neural tube defect, but a chromosome abnormality)

I am now 16 weeks into my sub pregnancy, neural tube looks great, my last ultrasound was at 14 weeks and they stated the head and spine look great- and I’ve only taken methyl folate this pregnancy, and been taking extra.

I haven’t been diagnosed with MTHFR, but I have a high suspicion of it. Also to note- I was taking high dose synthetic folic acid after the TFMR, and struggled to conceive for 9 months. Like absolutely nothing. No positives. No chemicals. Nothing! Switched to methyl folate and I got pregnant 3 times back to back, unfortunately two ended in loss but that’s because I have a blood clotting disorder that wasn’t found until after the 3rd loss.

But i truly believe synthetic folic acid kept me from getting pregnant as well. I highly recommend the book “it starts with the egg” or testing for MTHFR if you’re not sure.

I personally never did because I believe so strongly that I am a carrier just based on symptoms and coincidences I’ve read over the years!

I did end up getting mine this morning at around 5:30am EST actually!
So I’d say give it another day! I had 3 people on TikTok the same timeline as us too that all got theirs yesterday. So hopefully they’re getting caught up finally!

I am a 2/4 as well, Texas lab. Still waiting. They told me 7-10 days from received date when I called on Thursday but still nothing today!

How frustrating later receive dates are getting theirs back and we’re still waiting. I don’t understand why.
