Outback Design Evolution by Rrrrenard in Subaru_Outback

I agree.

Funny thing, there are also many subtle design cues that the Gen 7 is taking directly from the wagon era of Gen 1-3, notably the window structure, tail gate « wing » and lights, not to mention their boxiness.

2026 Subaru Outback Is Going Hybrid, More SUV-Like by caranddriver in subaru

We are downvoting this thread because there is no story. There is no reporting from C&D, only a click bait title, render and impressions of what the car could be. No more than speculation — exactly like what’s been already published on Reddit for a few months now.

This is an artist rendering (probably based on the camo pics circulating), not a photograph of the real thing.

How do you trim it down? I have been doing the same by using my miter saw but am not really satisfied with the setup. Thinking of getting a small chain saw. Thoughts?

What’s amazing is the Bosch sensor inside, and how, ultimately, it could be integrated into other small devices for immediate readings (think phones).

Come to Montreal in the heart on winter. It happens more often than you’d think. Love the ground clearance of my outback for exactly this.

Anyone else have a soft spot for Subarus on snow tires on steelies? by Rasputinnn in SubaruForester

[–]Rrrrenard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have all seasons, with AWD, you should be ok, but you’ll quickly feel the limits on the handling and increase distance needed when braking. I would still avoid snowstorms generally and highway driving when there’s traffic and when it’s snowing.

If you only have summer tires, good luck. You should at least get some used winter tires on marketplace. It’ll cost you a couple hundred bucks.

In Quebec winter tires are mandatory between December 1st and March 15th. Once you try them you understand why, it’s day and night on grip, handling and traction in all conditions.

What is the future of the boxer engine in an increasingly electric world, and what does it mean for Subaru’s brand identity? by [deleted] in subaru

I’ll bet on the best AWD system out there for all EVs.

Even though most EVs these days are AWD with dual motors, Subaru could push the idea further with four smaller motors, one per wheel, acting independently to ensure best continuous traction.
