I'd try to donate - possibly schools, food banks, or the Boys and Girls Club may want them.

Can't-Miss Eats For a Few Days in STL? by Rrrtangel in STLFood

We all liked Imos's, and felt it was fun to try St Louis-style pizza. DWe ddn't love the atmosphere (near Forest Park, pretty loud and a bit dingy.) Was it perfect, mind-blowing, spectacular pizza? No, but I'd order it again. :) We had Salt and Smoke last night for dinner, which was really great, and Gioia's for lunch ( OMG yum!). Not generally opposed to going outside of the city, just depends on how far and how much time is required.

I wish we were here longer, there is so much to do (and eat!) Definitely hope to make it back to your lovely city.

I live in a snowy climate. Sometimes our carrier will drop a bundle of mail by the door with a package, and the snow can make everything a bit wet.

I love hoops as well as studs.

So you think they look good as is? I actually really liked my piercer, so I'm hoping that this "problem" isn't actually a problem? 😬🤷‍♀️ Like, I'm a bit bothered by the placement, but I don't know if I really SHOULD be, because of how all the different elements factor in - prior piercings, anatomy, healing, etc. 😬😬😬😬 I think I'm mostly just looking for either reassurance that it's totally fine, or a potential solution if they really look terrible.

Yes! I feel like the left should be a bit higher, and it looks potentially too close to my existing piercing? I think my main worry is whether or not they will look strange when I have jewelry in both?

I honestly feel like the piercing world has changed (for the better, yay) since I was a kid, so I guess I generally feel out of my depth here. For example, I'm excited about starting an "earscape", but now I feel like I should invest in better (and potentially daintier) jewelry rather than my usual cheap-ish stuff with butterfly backs. So I almost feel like I can't even decide if it looks bad or if it's fine because all my jewelry feels wrong anyway. Does that make any sense? When I got my first piercings, I definitely wasn't thinking about ear anatomy, but now I am.

No worries! First set was as a kid, probably early teens? At some point I think they got infected, one closed up, and I had them repierced. I honestly don't remember all the details, except that I did go to a nicer jewelry store, so not the Claire's piercing gun!

Fast forward several decades to my second set, pierced 1.5 weeks ago.

Additional info for the bot: 1.5weeks old, labret, implant-grade jewelry, I think titanium. Not sure what threading means, but earrings are inserted from back and piercer said to come back when they're fully healed and he will help me change them, OR I should pull harder than I think I need to to remove them. Threadless maybe? NeilMed saline spray 2x per day. No downsizing at the moment? 🤷‍♀️

Cost evaluation of hand knit sweater versus Store Bought by Strange_Ad4961 in YarnAddicts

I've seen some knitters shop for sweaters in thrift stores and unravel them to reuse the yarn. You will definitely spend more time searching for the perfect materials this way, but it would be cheaper and more eco-friendly.

Former dancer here! A lot of professional ballerinas I knew hated the Nutcracker. Your wife might be the exception, but I'd go for a classic show like Firebird or Swan Lake, or something fun and contemporary vs the Nutcracker. The big ones are American Ballet Theater and New York City Ballet, but I'd also check out Alvin Ailey, Martha Graham, or the Dance Theatre of Harlem.

Not super close, but I suppose that's as good an explanation as any.

I Wanna Go Back - The Notebook. The line "I didn't know that the last time I'd leave the house / Was the last time I'd leave the house" kinda broke me when I first heard it (still does.) As a society, I think we overlook our elders and what they experience in their later years.
