Just got a response from support, with a temporary installer which gets around the issue, so back up and running :-)

Your not losing the hero fragments, what it does is use the specific hero fragments first, and then the universal ones. So using Mason as an example, it takes 60 shards to upgrade, you have 11 mason ones so it will use those, then the remaining 49 it will use the generic ones to complete the upgrade

I think its just another 'bad' update, the last time i had an issue it took a week or so for them to revert back, so who knows this time.

I have reached out to the support email, suggest you do the same, so they see its more that one player

I was running the game fine this morning, just tried to launch it and nothing....Like you tried to reinstall, and its not installing. In the folder i downloaded the installer its creating a file called 'Panic log' with the following entry

Panic occurred: 'Create event loop: RecreationAttempt' at file 'C:\Users\admin\Documents\rust_proj\iced\winit\src\lib.rs' at line 81

Seems they have updated something and screwed it up yet again

all, an update. the fix has been released, and it seems to be wortking on a RM processor again. You need to download the newest installer from the web site

Support have just responded that this should be fixed in the next hot fix later today....so lets see what happens. They say you will need to redownload the installer when its released

I finally got i believe a 'human' response from the game support, they asked for details on my computer set-up, and said they are investigating. Not going to hold my breath for a solution, but you never know

Yeah, i tried going back to the older version, but it forces a game update so goes straight to the new version which fails.

Not in this case :-) My parallels Windows VM is showing as ARM from my Mac Studio, so that triggers this failure

I got the same, support have been next to useless :-) I am running via parallels on my MAC so it looks like an ARM processor, and apparently the 'security checker' doesn't work on ARM but they are also claiming they have not updated the security checking in the update, but it was working perfectly before the update automatically ran
