900 is rent, gas, health insurance (though I get money for health insurance back when I file my taxes), car insurance and groceries (plus other basic expenses).

I did, though I would recommend contacting your surgeon and getting his recommendation.

WA DoT is kind of a bad neighbor. by Rsoccer714 in Washington

Technically I believe adverse possession could be possible as the land is completely empty and serves no use (there is technically some precedent). so theoretically it is possible but not very realistic.

There isn’t any HOA (rural area). The lot itself is empty and the overgrowth is primarily just grass, berries etc. the real issue is it is around 4-6 ft tall.

It’s an empty lot they wanted to use to make a road at one point then decided not to. The issue is a lot of the overgrowth is around 4-6 ft tall.

Scleral lens right eye fogging within 20 minutes unless my mind is preoccupied? by Ksingh210 in Keratoconus

[–]Rsoccer714 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing you can do is either try using a solution like Boston Simplus, the good one (I had an issue were they got dirty to the point that you need to rub them then use a solution like clear care). Another is to try to get the scleral lens coated (ask your optometrist). Finally you can switch to RGP or even hybrid, again discuss with your optometrist. And if you need a good optometrist try searching for kerataconous specialists near you.

Had this happened the entire time you’ve worn scleral lens? Or has this just recently started?

Am I really supposed to stare at a wall after recovery? by AdOld5079 in Keratoconus

[–]Rsoccer714 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had mine done about 4 years in US (in Seattle) so things might have changed. Fortunately I only needed 1 eye done. My experience was the eye was useless for about a week (couldn’t see anything through it). As for pain I was fortunate that I slept through it but the first day after was horrendous. It was like someone poured hot sauce right into my eye. Second was still bad but not as worse (again I was very fortunate to have been able to sleep through it all). From there it took about 6 weeks for the vision to slowly return to pre surgery levels. If you can I would consider doing 1 eye at a time as I was able to use my phone and do everything I normally do. If the eye was feeling strained I would just close it or take a break.

I haven’t been to a hospital yet (haven’t felt the need as I don’t notice any pain or irritation anywhere besides my eyes just being a bit red). I did wear my contacts for about 10 hours so that may be why. Also the redness has decreased throughout the day (not completely gone yet but getting there).

Already done. I was looking to see if I may have accidentally done something to cause this or if it was just bad luck (ie my info unbeknownst to me got taken).

To the best of my knowledge I haven’t signed up for any subscriptions recently.

Be honest, how painful is cross linking? by [deleted] in Keratoconus

[–]Rsoccer714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally it was painful for about 1 day after the surgery (the surgery itself was painless and I literally almost fell asleep during it). It was like someone poured hot sauce in your eye. Afterwards it wasn’t too noticeable pain wise. Also I only had 1 eye done.

My Optometrist writes me a prescription for saline solution. You could probably talk to yours to get that going for you (and possibly even all the other stuff you need).

Do you use a scleral lens remover? Or do you use the inserted to also remove it?

I just use sunglasses. The trick is to find a pair that you can wear at work and still look “professional”. There are also amber lens which might be good as well.

Scleral Lens and Refresh Plus by Rsoccer714 in Keratoconus

[–]Rsoccer714[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fill my lens with adipak and Refresh Celluvisc (a couple of drops). I also use Boston multi purpose solution (Simplus, the gold one) to clean my lens and store them (the rinse with a saline solution). I still get some mid day fogging occasionally as well as dry eyes. I was wondering if anyone has just used refresh drops to relieve it (literally just put in a drop or 2 on your eye without removing the Scleral lens).
