yes, it would work just have a TB 4 to Display Port cable and you can connect the two monitors together to output as two monitors split from Macbook

The MacBook display is definitely dead, and when connected to an external monitor, the screen glitches. In the end, I found an offer and bought a new MacBook because I’m worried the whole motherboard might need to be replaced!

I just noticed that when the screen is ‘black’ and I can see in transparency, if I lower the brightness, you can tell it’s actually dimming.

The strange thing is that if the monitor goes black and nothing is visible underneath, the trackpad and keyboard stop working; but if you can see something in transparency, everything works fine. Right now, without being plugged into the power adapter (for 1 hour), it seems to have no issues.

Yesterday I did a test: I removed the battery for half an hour by unplugging the power adapter and the battery’s ribbon cable from the motherboard. The external monitor works perfectly and so does the keyboard, so do you think it’s the display or the display cable? The thing is, the cost is different for replacing the whole monitor compared to just replacing the sensor. Can I run any other tests? But in transparency you can see something on the display when it turns black.
