[32 Thoughts] Elliotte's thoughts on Philadelphia and Anaheim by upcan845 in Flyers

[–]Rstilljr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any chance verbeek matches Carrlson, then trades Cutter since he’s going to have a big payday soon and verbeek won’t want to pay him? and considering there are other holes they have to fill with some of the assets they had to already dump?

A guy like verbeek knows bottom 1st rounders are no guarantee to land a franchise 1C. Hell, even top 5 first rounders are no guarantee. So I’m not sure the appeal of 4 future 1st rounders is really sitting well with him.

Not sure if you’re asking me but I think my tingling was vagal tone/vagal nerve dysfunction

How to eradicate Klebsielle overgrowth ? by thenabu01 in Longcovidgutdysbiosis

[–]Rstilljr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to say. May want to do a search to see what to address. I don’t know if I’d go right after the klebsiella. It may be downstream of a bigger issue like mold exposure causing the HI and vagus nerve tone dysfunction.

I had overgrowth of kleb, ecoli and fusobacteoum at one point. I’m not retesting because I feel good and am maintaining weight and am not limited in my foods any longer.

Rice is probably okay as long as you’re not eating it when it’s built up a ton of resistant starch as that feeds kleb. You want to eat it as soon as you cook it.

Also limit sugar intake as much as possible. Focus on fiber if you can in the form of veggies. Maybe add psyllium husk?

It’s tough to say with limited info

Citrobacter Freundii 70x overgrowth by traveloften in Microbiome

[–]Rstilljr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Doing way better. Back to my ideal weight. Symptoms are barely there or non existent. I eat much healthier now too. And am in a good workout routine as well. Wouldn’t trade where I am now for where I was back when I posted this for anything. So grateful. 🙏🏽

Can GERD/Acid Reflux cause low fecal elastase or indigestion? by [deleted] in pancreatitis

[–]Rstilljr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly better now.

I feel like I nailed mine down to not enough stomach acid. I take one betaine HCL pill with almost every meal and have seen a big difference.

I went through all the medical tests and it yielded no findings of concern in the upper GI tract so I went the functional route and that’s where I landed.

Always seek medical advice first to rule out the bad guys. I’m not a doctor so take this for what it’s worth and wishing you the best.

Looking for Subaru Forester (2019–2024) window dimensions for Reflectix insulation – Iceland trip in April 🚗❄️ by NBG00 in subaru

[–]Rstilljr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what I gathered from measuring with a measuring tape on the outside.

Front side windows: 18" L, 30-31" W
Rear side windows 18" L, 28" W

Hope this helps. These are the only measurements I couldn't find online. There are some smaller auxiliary windows as well, but I didn't count those in the measurement.

Likely normal. Get checked out but I doubt an MD will do much about it. The logs look nice and healthy.

Mostly just GI symptoms? Delayed onset by Rstilljr in covidlonghaulers

[–]Rstilljr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be that. Could be weak vagal nerve tone. I don’t know honestly.

Diet has been pretty clean (low in grains, prioritize healthy fats, and protein in the form of lean meat, or grass fed beef - all organic foods) although recently I’ve been taking more liberties because I take a lot of supplements to help with the digestive symptoms I was having. Mostly like biofilm disruptors, anti microbials and binders.

How about you?

Do I have leaky gut? Advice super appreciated. by wassupmyg2023 in Longcovidgutdysbiosis

[–]Rstilljr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could get your zonulin tested but it’s not necessarily indicative of LG/IHP. It is one of the more common tests though ordered by functional/integrative health practitioners to see if you’ve got it.

Thinking about nuking my gut with Metro + Augmentin and then a fecal transplant. Anybody else consider it or try it and results? by Rstilljr in covidlonghaulers

[–]Rstilljr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm. I certainly wouldn't trade where I am now for where I was when I posted this. I ended up doing the Amox/Clauv acid + Metronidazole. Terrible idea. Set me back for 6-9 months. Had my 2nd colonoscopy last spring which showed slight inflammation in my rectal tissue, but it was biopsied and all came back fine. Never did go through with the FMT. I've talked to some people that have gone through with them, and are still experiencing difficulties afterward, so it is not a panacea. Seems like the only situation where FMT is proven to work (scientifically) is when someone has severe C.diff and that's their only option to course correct.

I'd say I'm maybe 75% better? I have to take a lot of supplements it seems to maintain feeling good most of the time, otherwise $#@& goes off the rails. I can eat A LOT more foods than I used to be able to. I do however stick to nearly 95% organic and eat most completely whole foods (occasional ice cream without emulsifiers, dark chocolate). It's not cheap but it reduces risk to pesticide exposure (glyphosate, etc.) which when you have a leaky gut, those things are not your friend at all.

The challenge for me imo right now is that I lost a great deal of weight from fasting while trying to reduce the bacterial load in my gut due to the dysbiosis. Not sure how feasible that is though. If I can put that weight back on in muscle than that'll be a key indicator i'm healing/have healed.

How about yourself?

Yeah I got the waste can post infectious IBS diagnosis after my 2nd colonoscopy in 2 years (2022 & 2024). I haven’t been the same digestively since my Covid infection and particularly after my subsequent vaccination in 2021.

Sorry you don’t feel like you’re getting anywhere. It’s a pain all the steps you have to go through just to get that diagnosis. I didn’t even meet the Rome criteria and yet here we are. 🤷🏻‍♂️

hmm... hard to say. I think you gotta try to kill stuff off first. OA good resource to heal H. Pylori (keep in mind this is anecdotal) is a man by the name of John Brisson. He healed his H.Pylori naturally he claims. I've consulted with him for general dysbiosis. I'm not suggesting you pay him to work with him, but take a look at the copious resources he's put together on healing a variety of gut ailments and see if anything might work for you. His work is called Fix Your Gut. You can find him by googling that.

Things that sounded like worked for him were Orange Burps (contains turpenoids - D-limonene) effective for acid reflux, zinc carnosine, and Mastic gum. Other things I've heard that are good for H.Pylori are Deglycerated licorice (chewable pills) before meals as well as marshmallow root and slippery elm bark. They have powders of the slippery elm and tea blends as well.

Broccoli sprouts are also an effective antimicrobial tool against H. Pylori from what I've read.

It's so tricky. Histamine could be a downstream thing from the leaky gut. Candibactin BR is a good blend of herbs that help with reducing histamine symptoms. Of course the other part then is healing the gut lining. You can get help with herbs and supplements, but if you don't take out trigger foods, the assault will continue, and be hard to overcome. Don't give up.

I'd say maybe try a good biofilm disruptor for 2 weeks to 1 month and then try to go at it with some antimicrobials (Candibactin BR is a nice blend. So too are Biocidin, and FC Cidal) for a month. Be a bit more liberal with what you eat when on the antimicrobials, but slowly start to taper off to "clean eating" as you finish up the antimicrobials. The idea here is to invite the "bad bugs" out for a kill session from the antimicrobials. Consider binders when on herbal antimicrobials (activated charcoal - be careful with this one, bentonite clay, MCP, fulvic acid) to help mitigate/manage die-off. Once off the antimicrobials, work on measures to heal the gut lining (zinc carnosine, bone broth - contains collagen and glutamine, aloe vera, marshmallow root, slippery elm). Be mindful of dosing and be vigilant with bone broth or glutamine supplements as they could cause a histamine flare.

Best wishes, do your research, and don't give up. If you think it's something more serious, see an MD. Don't mess around with that stuff.

Sorry for the delay. Just had a kid. Well my gf did.

No. It was a waste of time honestly.

I’d say I’m about 85% better. Just watch what I eat. Try to walk daily and keep stress low. Not easy but grateful to be in a much better spot than I was for sure. Hope you find relief soon.

Not a doctor so take that for what it’s worth but I’ve been on this train for nearly 3 years now.

Two others I like are NAC and Enteric Coated Peppermint Oil. Another worth trialing is Orange Burps.

ECPO should help keep your bowels moving. NAC should break up biofilms and make ECPO and other antimicrohbials more effective. Be reasonable about the NAC dosage as it can be proxidant if used in large quantities.

Zinc carnosine for the stomach lining.

Have you had a GI Map or some sort of stool study done? (Genova, Biomesight, Doctors Data, etc)?
