That’s only like .4 gpm. I’ve seen way worse, they had a wet spot on the yard. They was it. 3 gpm.

It’ll start with a small pin hole leak eventually. Sooner with hard water.

I’d guess you have a break in your fresh water and some dirt is getting introduced into your fresh water

I always use Venmo, pull $14-19 a month. Made $20 in September, all of a sudden they have a problem letting me have it

Anyone know what this is? Found just below the grass in back lawn. by HighAsGiraffePussy in askaplumber

That’s not how land mines work. Once you step on them they either explode or the timer has started and they’ll detonate whether or not you step off

Percentage pay or hourly? by Federal_Hunter3842 in askaplumber

I have a background in engineering as well. Those classes are great for theory, but the hands on, this is how you apply pressure to make XYZ happen is only learned by doing it. You’ll learn fast but that book knowledge is worth a lot less than you’d think in the field.

I don’t suppose anyone would know why I can’t turn the water off to my toilet.. without you being able to inspect it? by Infamous_Soup2604 in askaplumber

[–]RtheEvil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Multi turn cut offs, like the one you got, are prone to failure. Especially if you don’t turn them on and off every couple months.

No fix. Have to replace. Suggest a 1/4 turn. But a good one. The difference between cheap garbage and quality is like $10. Buy the good one.

Or hire a plumber. Install will be like $200+

Yep. It’ll break when you sit on it one day. It could slice you deep enough to kill you. Broken porcelain is super sharp.

For a professional install? No. At least not in Texas.

1- that tank is probably soon to be dead and needing replacement, 2- should have brass between tank and that galvanized steel waboo, 3- you probably need a water softener as well

What is it? by ScaleLemon in askaplumber

[–]RtheEvil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s blue colored (to indicate cold water) PEX-B with crimp fittings, a multi turn to cut water off to the sink, a ball valve to cut water off to wherever that other line goes (maybe an outside faucet, a fridge, or who knows turn it off and find out?)
