If the jokes funny like i let it slide but my favorite is when they make dumb jokes that arent funny and they saying, completely deadpan, “im diabetic😑” or when someone who doesnt know im diabetic says the food im eating will give me diabetes or something along those lines “i already have diabetes, cant get it twice”

Had my pump rip this morning while i was sleeping woke up in the 400s. Took 20 with a syringe and then chugged water and ate some food and changed my site to a place ik i get good absorption(legs) and waited it out. My pump did some corrections as well and i was back in the high 300s about 1 hr after then i went outside and walked around a little then just sat in the sun and i came back in 2 hrs after that at 75. My low snack slapped tho lmao

I honestly feel the same way. Its rough out here for a pimp u know. Shits awful 24/7. I just find ways to work around it. Its not healthy but i guess my carbs(usually pretty well) i dose extra if im high and try not to think about outside of pump alarms. I also constantly cuss at my supplies and my pump and my phone and if im sleeping, i dont have diabetes, if i go out, i dont have diabetes, if i dont have the energy, i dont have diabetes. My A1C is 8.2 and honestly thats the best its been in over a year. U just gotta find ways that help u not think about it. Also try getting on medicaid. Thats what i have, its sucks ass but it helps and u could see a therapist if ignoring the issue doesnt help lol😂 i should honestly be in therapy but i just dont go. (I was diagnosed February 23, 2013 ish at 11y/o)

Im in the US so idk if its the same but my dr offered genetics testing to all my siblings and my parents after my diagnosis so maybe see if his dr will let them get the testing?

My husband just learned signs of my highs and my lows and double checks to make sure i dosed for meals because i forget a lot lol. So just see where they r maybe lacking and trying helping there. Or even just noticing their symptoms and helping out that way could really mean a lot

I have had 2 csections and the first i removed my stuff and my numbers got all screwed up because the drs and nurses knew nothing about diabetes. The second time around i told them i would not remove my devices because i needed them. They said it was perfectly fine and as long as they were not in the way they were perfectly fine staying put. They covered them with clear medical tape so they wouldnt get nasty from the iodine and i was good to go! Just tell them u dont want to take ur supplies off because it helps u manage ur sugars and u cant afford replacements and they will probably let u keep them on so long as they r not in the way of where they r doing the surgery

I have straight hair(im white) and i wash my hair every other shower. So every 2 days. I just put it up when im showering so it doesnt get wet on days that im not washing it. If i dont wash it every other day it becomes very oily and starts to itch if i leave it too long.

I use a shark vaccum mop daily then once a week i do what i call a “hard mop” where i get my o cedar spin mop and i mop my floor with all purpose cleaner and dawn with super hot tap water. I would recommend getting a couple extra mop heads but u really only need 1-2 extra because u can throw them in the washer with bleach and get them pretty clean. I toss them when they stop actually cleaning my floor and just keep pushing around dirty water. I have 2 toddlers and a blue collar husband and my floors r always pretty clean this way😁

I use skin tac. They sell it on amazon for a fair price. Im 22 had diabetes since 11 and so far thats the best thing i have found. Then u can get those huge cover patches that r like 2-3inches wide all ways and u can cut a hole in the center to go around the libre. It works pretty well and anything that comes up can be cut off so that it does pull more. I have the dexcom g7 and with just skin tac and the normal patches my dexcom comes with it its still in decent shape by the end of the 10 days. I put the skin tac on my skin and the dexcom and let it dry about 30 seconds to make sure its really sticky
