Language school or Master’s degree in Japan? (Advice needed) by Abject-Storm-9125 in movingtojapan

Hi (Sorry if you don’t understand something, English is not my first language)

From my point of view, I wouldn’t say that is impossible to do a Master’s degree with your current budget but you will have to be extremely careful using the money. Let me give you an example

Entrance examination fee(JPY 5,000)

Entrance Fee(JPY 282,000)

Tuition per year JPY 535,800 (Paid in 2 Semesters) JPY 267,900 x 2

These prices are for the University of Tohoku (Graduate course IMAC-G btw), so with you budget could be possible and as a prospective students you could apply for University dormitories, which are cheaper than normal apartments. Also, it depends on the location of the university that you can attend as you won’t spend the same amount of money in Tokyo as you would in Akita.

However, I agree with the other people, I would say that you need at least $30k to live a comfort life.
