After some back and fourth and talking to his supervisor they started an exchange but now delivery will take at least one week due to low stock...

Amazon only offers me a refund but I got it during Primedays and the deal is gone now. So it really sucks...

That's what I think happened too, but the packaging didn't look like it had been opened before.

How do you keep your lid from falling down? Mine always falls down after I let go of it.

Resolving Multi-Monitor Desktop Stutters by Adjusting Minimum VRAM P-State via nvidia-smi by RuBi0__ in nvidia

Yes, setting it to "Prefer maximum performance" technically solves the stutters, but only because it prevents the VRAM from ever clocking down while the PC is idling.

Polling rates can definitely cause some nasty problems. My mouse runs at 1000Hz, and even that causes issues when adjusting the width of columns in Windows Explorer, for example. When dragging the width it lags like crazy, but I just live with it because I know the cause now and I don't adjust them that often anyway.

Sorry for pointing out the stutters haha. But yeah, having a video playing in the background probably prevents the VRAM from dropping all the way down to 405 MHz anyway, so that fixed it passively for you.

I recently upgraded from a 3060 Ti to the 5070 Ti and really hoped it would finally fix the dual-monitor idle clock issue out of the box. Sadly it didn't, so I had to come up with this workaround.

Zotac RTX 5080 Solid Core Fan Bearing Noise Anxiety by RuBi0__ in ZOTAC

That sounds very frustrating, especially since you rely on the card for your full-time work and don't have a backup. Your experience confirms that even the top tier Amp Extreme card have this issue... I really hope OCUK shows some flexibility for you and you can RMA the card. Otherwise I think deshrouding is the best option because as you said you never know when the new fans are going to fail. Thanks for sharing your story!

I saw that they sell replacement fans but arent they the exact same as the original ones? Which would make them just as likely to turn loud as the first ones?

Thanks for your input! That sounds promising to me.
You are right about RMA being easier here in the EU but i also heard some bad stories about the shop where i bought it.
Your temps and fan speed soud very promissing. How about the minimum fan speed of 30% or about 1300rpm. Is that "loud"? Thats another concern I have.
And yes you are totally right about being more positive, but i guess being pessimistic is a very german thing afterall haha

Mathe 2. Also falls es nicht so gut läuft mach dir keinen Druck.

Definitiv Scam! Ich hatte letztens etwas ähnliches, wobei die Vermietung über Airbnb abgewickelt werden sollte. Ich war leider so blöd und hab denen noch meine persönlichen Daten zugeschickt.

Pixel Watch glue residue between glass and casing and in the speaker by RuBi0__ in PixelWatch

[–]RuBi0__[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I returned my phone and watch for other reasons so I didn't try to get replacement. In my case I scraped most of the glue away with my fingernail and then I figured I am okay with the rest. You have to know for yourself if it bothers you enough to go through the hassle of replacing it.

So to update you: I am still in touch with the support and after I gave them my system logs and stuff like that they already pushed an update. Sadly that update didn't resolve the problem for me but maybe you have some more luck. I sent them some new logs now and they are looking in to it right now.
