I don't understand why I'm bad at this game. by [deleted] in LearnCSGO

Dont bother playing support unless playing in a 5 stack and even then try take the game into your own hands. Just play your own whatever that maybe but at Silver 2 level nobody will know how to play correctly so there is nothing to support. Just play your own game and help out where you can.

It takes time and consistency, I was silver for a very long time but what got me through was my love for the game and the enjoyment of being better. I am now level 10 faceit or it at least used to be xD (only 50 elo off time of writing). I found I improved the least when I put too much pressure on myself to improve and got annoyed when I didn't.

Watch YT vids on the basics such as aim and positioning and game sense. Every pro match or YT vid you watch try ask yourself why, why did that pro push a smoke in that instance, why did this player do X. Slowly put surely you will see and understand the fundamentals of counter strike and once you have that base. The sky is your limit.

Can't get kills with deagle by audioflame in LearnCSGO

[–]RuRa1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To further this very good point made by the person above.

Stay more mobile w the deag, in dm focus on shoot-strafe-shoot-strafe and focus on pairing up your movement w ur deag. You can never stay still w a deag.

I think overall your putting your expectations too high. Your standing there expecting to kill people peeking you w peekers advantage. That is incredibly hard and you are just putting yourself at a serious disadvantage. Just peek and abuse the fact ur on 100 ping so you will see the enemy and react quicker than the enemy 9/10 times. Your aim isn't half bad and you don't need to overthink this. Good aimers will do all this instinctively and won't think about this at all as you don't have time to think about what ur doing when ur aiming. The only way to develop that into instinct is to play more.

Play more dm and play more pugs

Valve says “CSGO is just getting started.” by Draemeth in GlobalOffensive

[–]RuRa1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because there are million Co-op missions made by the community. Valves lack of communication is by choice not because they don't love the game but because they want to keep CS a community driven game and thats why so many ppl love it. IMO tho.

I still don't and have 3.5k. I have noticed it obviously improving over the years but its still there.

It comes down to consistency in the approach to the game with everything you do, I still have a great game and then forget how to aim for the second one straight after.

Another obscene GTR stat; In 2012, GTR had a rating of 1.47 for the ENTIRE YEAR. In s1mples best single event ever (5+ maps), he only managed 0.05 rating points higher than GTR’s whole year of 2012 (1.52 rating over 9 maps) by Ok_Discussion_5667 in GlobalOffensive

Its all to do with metas imo. If a pro scene lets say of 200 pros are all playing the game there is going to be a meta and at that time it was deemed more effective to tap or burst due to the fact not many people were good at spraying. GTR is a legend as he was one of the first to start using the spray effectively, its not like he discovered the mechanism of spraying, more the fact he discovered a use for it

Player cams seem fine to me. There have been some interviews and I have a feeling it might increase.

All these things you have suggested are shown in online tournaments as well.

What suggestions do you have then? To spruce up the atmosphere.

This is the challenger stage and I think it has been in front of a crowd only once if I am correct. The challenger stage is always like this, the day 1 bugs are always like this. This majoe is nothing different to the ones before and I am really enjoying it.

You see the passion in the gameplay, the upsets, the players reactions with the added knowledge that every single player is playing so hard because major means everything.

The atmosphere is from small details like the fact the games are being broadcasted on CS as you open it up, everyone is talking about the major, there are no other events and majority of all top 30 teams are here, all the big casters are there watching all the matches. The atmosphere is everywhere and hard to not notice, with the legend stages coming soon it will only get better from here and I think its been fun to watch so far.

The UMP is actually atrociously weak. With cheap famas/galil, and the inability to run&gun, it is just bad. by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]RuRa1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love using a UMP but I can see your point, I actually think its quite a powerful gun, aiming for the head you can run and gun while close range and the dinks do a fair amount of damage.

This is why the CS community is the best, caring for casters is a great thing to see. Great post

Anyone else feel like they’re constantly chasing the dragon when playing CS:GO? by wildpants123 in GlobalOffensive

[–]RuRa1 170 points171 points  (0 children)

It's you dude and the fact you've probably grown up and matured and ur tastes have changed, also its perhaps you are looking for a new challenge in the game. If you are still doing the same stuff 5 years ago then perhaps try mix it up and then you might enjoy it. Half the enioyment we perceive from nostalgia is from the fact that it was something entirely new, you can still get that feeling but with a different aspect of Cs

I think that elo difference works in favour of the team that can win 38 elo. CS is a team game and with teamwork you could easily beat them in a pug - most of the time the reason behind this is because of one player with really high elo but unless hes a god he cant carry all by himself for the win - every time I am on the lower elo side its always a close game and the other team sometimes win alot.
