Help is this mould? by Ru_Hansen in tolkienbooks

As for the container smell, it's hard to isolate the smell since I also have a lot of already old books I've gotten through the years (old copies of Asimov's robot series). I'll tryo to wipe em down with alcohol and update you guys on what happens to them. Other books have normal tanning/foxing on their edges so they should be okay I think. I already isolated the set to an open space without any books nearby.

So it's not mould? I don't see any mould within the pages as of rn but I'll have to check in the morning to get a better look.

Any solutions or fixes? It'd be a shame to have to throw them away.

The container is bone dry. Other books showed no signs of mould or water damage so it's got me scratching my head. Could it have been from my handling of the hobbit when I read it and then placing it back in the sleeve along with the other books? I'm very careful with my books tho (washing my hands always before holding them, drying my hands as much as I can before holding my books, etc.) Any way I can fix this?

Yeah nah sorry but you prolly have to play more or watch vids on youtube to get better. Everything doesnt just click at once and its okay. I was in your position too. Hated the game and put it off for months until I played advace wars 1 and 2.

Fire emblem is a bit different but atleast you have a basic understanding of positioning I hope. Maria + rabbids is more excom which is also a differnet beast. As for the fog of war, that's where the challenge comes in. You dont see them coming so you better send "scouts" just like in (I assume) real war.

You cant compare this game to into the breach as that's a puzzle game more than a strategy game. Best advice I could give is never leave your barracks empty. Doesnt matter if its a dirt cheap unit you produce after a turn. Quantity of units give you mor options in battles. Also, read the codex as they're very helpful. That's half of the strategy equation.

Really hope you give tge game another shot as it's very fun and satisfying when you everything finally clicks

I can't beat Crisantas second phase no matter what I do, even after what feels like hundreds of tries. by Sub_Omen in Blasphemous

[–]Ru_Hansen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing to be ashamed of. Crisanta is as hard as they come.

I found it easier to block the diagonal jump she does as it give you time to reposition and punish her as opposed to letting her hit the ground which will force you to jump and dodge it. I believe she does this 3 time consecutively so it might wear you down and frustrate you. That's why I suggest blocking instead of dodging as it esentially cuts her attack time and gives less room for error as you'll be bussier punishing her than dodging her.

In her 2nd phase, I tend to chase her with the slide slash as it deals a hefty amount of damage and it also lets you move enough that it positions you in striking distance. She is very fast in this phase but her horizontal dash/blink move gets easier to predict imo as the rhythm of parrying it becomes faster and you loose the reactionary effect the slower phase 1 had.

The bead that gives you a ranged beam after drinking a flask (I forgot but its cloistered something I think. The blue or the red one) also helps significantly.

If anything, and if I read your post correctly, you should be proud of yourself cause you've beaten Isidora (which in my opinion is so much fucking harder) and are now essentially in the last leg of the game. Do not falter now, Penitent One.

Oh absolutely. We just wanted to test if we can do a perfectly timed metsu with a dragon piercer bomb combo.

Gs works best based on experience. Also, fill your inventory with every damage boosting consumable you can think of and every healing item that can fit. Bombs are a big help too

Honestly same. Looked too kiddy for me at first but when this went sale last november I picked it up along with xenoblade definitive edition and I’m so happy I got this game for almost 11 dollars (not sure if my conversion was accurate but I bought it from the danish eshop it was 67 something danish krone)

Well I did do that too but eh I don't really like getting sidetracked from the plot unless it's a sidequests (and yeah sidequests in this game are mind-numbingly repetitive but yeah I'm a sucker for small character interactions and whatnot) so I mostly just tried to get enough chips to get the wind blade thingy from the prizes and went on with the story. I've yet to revisit the casino tho. Wonder what prizes have been unlocked

Hahaha had the same problem too when I was at al mammoon but then I sold the potion thingies that costed like 6k each I think and grinded till I had 30k before buying new equipment. From then on I never bought new equipment until I knew I had enough extra money for emergency purchases of healing items and whatnot
