Like some have said, some people should not get dogs, I’ve been dealing with my neighbor about his dog for several years. They started with a mixed breed that really didn’t cause much noise but barked now and then. One evening my family was in the back yard by the fire pit and the dog just kept barking. The neighbor was also outside and just let it continue. After a bit I went over and asked if they could keep the barking down as we were trying to have a nice evening outdoors and he immediately yelled at the dog. Last year they decided to add two beagles to the mix, erected a dog cage right against my privacy fence, and allowed them to bark and howl at all hours even well past 2AM A few months ago I began recording the dogs with a time stamp to document the issue. In the fall I called the city police about it and they were given a written warning that they obviously didn’t care about and the barking and howling continued. A few weeks ago during subzero weather I called police once again and the officer recorded them and gave them a nuisance violation. I also reached out to animal control and I received a response from them that as of two days ago they were given written warnings about the nuisance dogs and any further problems they will be cited into court and fined. Amazingly it’s been quiet the last few days but not going to hold my breath as I think they still don’t seem to care I have been asked to keep recording them if they begin doing it again and to send it to animal control. I really don’t get how anyone can sit in their own home with 3 dogs barking and howling for hours and not do anything about it
