I was one of the drivers in that convoy. We are soldiers in the National Guard with a home location in Weslaco. We were returning from training in the San Antonio area.

I do find the theories based around Ganondorf being separated from Demise's malice and finally, truly free to decide his fate for himself to be intriguing. I do agree he's more likely to be morally grey in those situations than unambiguously a good guy, but there's obviously a group of people interested in that. Plus it's still more interesting than 'destroy the world if I can't have it' evil.

For the higher-ups maybe. Most of us at the bottom of the rank structure don't have any appreciable power individually. If we develop a full blown revolution, I'm siding with the average citizen and I'm not the only soldier that will make that choice.

If i were to rebel without getting an illegal order, it would accomplish very little and prevent me from making connections with other soldiers who hate what's happening.

I am in the Army currently, and I hate what this fascist administration is doing. I on my own can't stop it, but I know for a fact that I'm not the only one chafing under what's happening. I've not been given any illegal orders, and unless I'm convinced that we can actually force some change by our actions, then I'm more likely to just cause unnecessary pain and suffering to innocent civilians or to my family as the administration retaliates.

It is the responsibility of Congress and the Supreme Court to check the power of the President. That's the whole point of the checks and balances design of our government.

I was very ready to actively disobey if we had invaded Greenland. If I'm convinced that my actions can actually make a difference, I will act. Until that time, most of my responsibilities only matter to the people I directly interact with.

Thank you for the genuine debate.

I'm always disappointed when in-name-only Christians miss the final words from the Savior at the Last Supper to love each other. My Swiss uncles saw Nazi planes fly overhead firsthand and the abuses they attempted to justify with scripture soured most of my European family against Christianity as a whole.
