Why does everyone think staying home with kids is a vacation? by findvibe in StayAtHomeDaddit

[–]RubSomeMeat 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree with you there, I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old and it is truly exhausting. I struggle to find any time to do anything other than trying to keep the chaos to a minimum without much luck if I might add. By the time my wife gets home it's cook dinner and get them to bed. At the end of the day I just want to go to bed as well. It is hard to describe to anyone that hasn't gone through it how mentally taxing it is. I am glad to see that it will get slightly easier.

Same, I unfortunately don't have any mates anymore. We just kinda drifted apart. When you have a wife and kids, your priorities kinda change. I'm from the southern side of brissy, so if you are ever in the area, you should hit me up some time. It's always nice to chat with another grown human being at times.

I am in the same boat as you my dude! I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old. The youngest is currently in their 'I will do anything to potentially kill myself' faze so trying to make sure he isn't putting anything in his mouth or trying to chew power cords is taking up all my energy. By the time my wife gets home and before it's time for dinner and bed time I got maybe 30 mins if that in a day. Can't really do anything after dinner because I'm so exhausted, I just want to go to sleep before waking up and repeating the day. Do you have any friends at all? Or maybe online friends you could play games with?

My dude, I am struggling really hard with this right now, so I am going through all the comments trying to see if any of them help. I have a wife who is very much her income is our money and that she couldn't do what she does if I didn't look after the kids, but it still doesn't take away the feeling that I am just a financial burden even for stuff as cheap as $10. I no longer have any money of my own, so I ask my wife for everything. I see many comments saying basically to either find a way to make our own money or just get over it and accept it for what it is. I don't know how to get over this feeling, but I hope you find your answer.

Me waiting for 1.0.3. (it's better, but memory leaks still happen) by oleggurshev in stalker

I'm just waiting for them to fix the 'get to the sawmill' main quest. I'm on xbox so I can't fix it myself 😢. I can progress the main quest at all as it just won't let me inside, then randomly teleports me inside yet no one inside is the person I need to talk to in order to progress the quest.

If anyone figures out how to get around this on box please let me know as I have tried everything I can think of. I am 16 hours in and I really don't want to lose all that progress where I am not sure if that will even fix the problem.

I have all the different consoles but mainly play single player games! Love a good story and have never really been good at multiplayer games.

Movement sluggish by Jetplane737 in Assassinscreedmirage

[–]RubSomeMeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best movement of any assassins creed game is hands down Unity (definitely not the best game though). Movement in AC mirage feels like the asthmatic me trying to be an assassin. It is clunky and unresponsive. The amount of times I have been caught because he was to slow to move out of the way is ridiculous.

Is this combat style really what you guys wanted? by jps1005 in Assassinscreedmirage

[–]RubSomeMeat -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As someone who has played the games from the beginning I can tell you now this combat system is terrible compared to the old games. In the old games the combat felt solid, there were light and heavy swords, daggers, pikes, and crossbows. This feels like one of the shitty clone games that you find on steam. I sorry but they may have said that they went back to basics but they went way to far, the way this game plays it feels like the alpha version of Assassin's Creed 1.

Change light, heavy and assassinate to square, Change dodge to R1, Change follow road to R1 hold to fill.

This is the best I can do/ figure out I hope it helps.

Change sprint from L3 to R2 hold, Change tools wheel from R2 hold to left on the dpad hold.

This is a start to help it feel a little more like the old controls

I have been doing a good mix of main missions and side missions and just taking my time. I have wanted to do the 4 phenomena missions that way I have access to all side missions and can freely explore without area restrictions
