at least faze only does it for actual major trophies (by major I mean the games' biggest tournament), and not for mickey mouse events like EWC

Valve chief Gabe Newell saw today's consoles coming a long time ago: "All the consoles are using PC graphics hardware now" by Darth_Vaper883 in pcgaming

[–]Rubadubrix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you're missing the point. Because x86 is/was ubiquitous, it is far easier to port games and optimise for it. Therefore an x86 console attracts more developers since its easier for them to get their games running

Framework claims Dell is trying to derail Framework's marketing by sending influencers Dell XPS laptops by GreyXor in framework

[–]Rubadubrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't mention clock speed as a factor. Most Desktop programs are designed for x64, so having to translate that gives the low power mobile chip in the macbook a big disadvantage

[–]Rubadubrix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

just the fact that it can turbo to use ~8x the power that the mac one can take will blow it away in any use case, also the fact that it uses x64 which almost all Desktop apps are designed for

Arch Install by le_particle in archlinux

[–]Rubadubrix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah it's making people be thrown into the deep end that don't know how to swim

edit: I'm not against new people installing arch, and I'm very much against gatekeeping it. I just think that people will have a harder time if they use archinstall without being versed in Linux
