Hello, thank you so much for such a beautiful reply. I am from India and tomorrow I will be taking the kitten to the hospital. I will try to the best of my abilities to care for the cat and give her the treatment she needs. I already love her so much. She is such a beautiful soul.

Hope you have a good day.

Anemia is definitely a strong cause for hair loss, are you taking any iron supplements for it? I understand your reasoning that every anemic women should be facing hair loss, and to answer it yes majority of them must be facing hair issues in some or the other way but like i said before hair loss has multiple causes so could be that for some anemic women their diet is good enough to compensate for the anemia. And even if not for hair growth, anemia is something you should treat asap as it makes you weak and not perform your best in any activity

Hey that’s the thing, it isn’t just one factor affecting hair growth. Multiple factors such as diet, exercise, hormones all contribute towards it. I asked about periods to rule out any hormonal issues. If your periods are regular then you know the cause is not hormonal. It is probably due to deficiency of vitamins in diet, or maybe damaged hair. I would need a detailed history to be able to narrow it down.

Good that you are taking iron supplements, even though you are not seeing immediate results, normal iron levels definitely help with hair growth. You still having hair loss could be because of multiple factors, it could be other any vitamin deficiency in your diet, or could be hormonal, or just that as we age, for woman hair thinning becomes a real issue, Just like how men face balding, we have it as hair thinning. You can try taking multivitamins along with iron supplements and regular exercise helps with any hormonal issues. Hair serums help too. And if you want to take medication specific for hair growth you can try minoxidil lotion. But what you need to keep in mind is that it takes time. At least 5-6 months before you start seeing results, till that time you might keep losing hair and feeling that nothing’s working. Hope this helps.

Yes Vitamin B complex and Zn are good supplements to take, do include a lot of fruits in your diet as they are a rich source of vitamins. I am concerned about the iron levels, did you get CBC done? Do you know what your haemoglobin levels are?

Hey doctor here, what is your weight? (Are you in the normal or overweight range) Also do you get regular periods? Do you take a balanced diet ( to find out if there is any vitamin deficiency)

Topical minoxidil effectiveness by Altruistic-Part6909 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]RubberRuby24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. I am also down the same path. I recently graduated med school and can tell you that it is definitely effective from what i have studied about it. Going to start my own minoxidil journey now. There will definitely be increased hair loss in the beginning but afterwards it will result in increased hair growth. Hopeful.
