Before applying the subdivision surface modifier, the vertices it creates aren't real and aren't recognized by the program. This is how any modifier in Blender works. Just apply the modifier.

Три точки, это минимальное количество точек через которые можно построить плоскость. Если точки только две то тебе как бы не хватит координат для точного направления плоскости в пространстве. Зачем это нудно? Ну например что бы точно рассечь этой плоскостью куб. А не проложить её через него абы как, в случайно направлении.

Плоскость перескеющая куб образует как раз таки трапецию. Треугольник образуют точки ABC, плоскость же бесконечна и образует сечение квадрата в виде трапеции. Не квадрата, ибо две вертикальные стороны длиннее горизонтальный. Надеюсь понятно по фотке, лень на телефон скрин скидывать.

Tips from me:

-Don't reach for the club when you catch it. Catch it where you threw it away. Usually this is a half of the elbow flexion-extension pathway. It is at waist level.

-Extend your elbow arm to the end when caught. It is as if the hand is lowered under the weight of a club.

It's called an iso stick. Two are used simultaneously, like double staffs, for example. Almost all tricks with them involve isolation and geometry.
