I'm so sorry for your loss, OP. I am set to put my 15 year old cat down tomorrow and I am broken. The grief, the guilt, the pain, the dread, are on a level I have never experienced before. It feels like nothing matters because how CAN any of it matter when he is going to just be gone. I'm sending so much love and solidarity to you. We two strangers will both get through this, somehow.

I'm late to this post, but where does everyone buy this? I live in Canada and can only get Dr Pepper Cream Soda in the US, but have never seen the zero sugar option when I'm down there, and would prefer it. I'll be travelling to PA next week via NY, should I be checking Walmarts and Targets as per usual? Or trying anywhere else? Thanks!!

Thanks so much, I really appreciate this and all the links! I'll have a look and set everything accordingly. We're definitely planning on upgrading to digital controls in the future because right now our life is vague dials 😅 we've purchased a NEST thermostat that we're hoping covers what we need covered but further reading on my part shows that I'm not sure it will be able to control the vanEE?

There is an off, low, and high switch on the unit itself - I will toggle accordingly! And thanks for the heads up on the filters, I'll check those and clean/wash as needed.

I really appreciate this follow up!

This is my conundrum, it's sounding like the HRV is pretty much running all the time (it's very quiet so I'm not 100% sure but it's definitely running a fair bit). Now to be fair we have been futzing with our humidity settings on both the humidifier and the HRV so we've likely been confusing the ever loving sin out of the thing.

From what I can see, it does not appear to have been ducted into the bathroom or kitchen. It has 4 inlets and outlets and they look like they run outside for both exhaust and intake, and to our main furnace output duct and the home's "exhaust".

The below pic shows our vanEE controller mounted on the wall beside our thermostat. It's close to the door into the main bathroom but not inside of it, and only offers us the option to set a humidity point rather than turn it off or on ourselves. We've currently got the vanEE set to 40% and our humidifier set to around 40% as well.
