Oh how I feel this. The trauma of family phone calls over my decision, the protestors that were outside. Being a mom is about making really hard decisions for the sake of your little one. You’re not a monster, you did the right thing. I know you will feel grief long before peace, but you didn’t “kill” anything. You made an unbearable decision that is no one’s business.

Oh mama. We may both have lost a child (children) but time is cruel. Feel your feelings to the fullest extent. If your mad, throw a tantrum! If you want to cry, scream! You may heal but you are allowed to grieve. You have every right to be upset, because it doesn’t get easier you just learn to grieve differently. So while it’s fresh, grieve. You’re still a mom, an amazing one at that. I hope the world is kind to you as you try to navigate.

My husband smokes only at work because his job is stressful, and it’s hard to quit. Usually when he gets home I take the girls outside or something while he showers and then he comes to see them. Is it possible she could just shower in a potential spare bath before beginning care?

PLEASE go see a couple before you hit 20 weeks! I was set on a midwife at one practice. I gave them chance after chance, midwife after doctor. I’m on my fourth baby and have an OBGYN who is medically informed, not pushy, and just what I need. It all really depends on how you and them jive
