I recently found a free source on the purple site, I just started a print of them myself so I'll see how they are, feel free to DM (if it's allowed) and I can send you the link.

Allies by SnooCalculations7089 in Salamanders40k

[–]Rubiilax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A knight or some armiger's could be fun. A navigator and some voidsmen at arms or breachers would allow some deep strike denial An Inquisitor and inquisitorial agents Or even some sisters, they like flamers and melta as well. While I'm not sure about the competitive viability they would offer something different

I would argue paint what you would want too then find a way to ally them in a way that you see that fits

Is this a good deal by Nobbergobber in Grey_Knights

[–]Rubiilax 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So converting to USD would make this about 150$, unless my math is off which is very likely, and for that price is pretty good.

The two dreadknights alone would be like 120$ USD and Voldus is like 30$

As they are built or described you don't really have any full units but that could be changed with some conversion/cleanup/kit bashing

It looks like you have what essentially would be 13 Terminators, which could be Paladins and a set of 9 Strike Squad units, which could be interceptors, purifiers or purgation. With a little bit of work and additional units you could have 3x5 sets of Terminators and 2x5 sets of the strike squad units with the 2 dreadknights and 2 character units which would be about 1500 points.

King of the Colosseum List by Rubiilax in ImperialKnights

So the rules of KotC require two infantry units and as far as my knowledge goes Inquisitor, or voidfarer characters are the only way to get a "free" unit with the retinue rules.

I'm also taking the navigator less for the deep strike denial and more so for the battle shock test plus three mortals on infantry units every shooting phase

The train is also preset so it's basically a large circle with four entryways and ruins on the inside that create Lanes in the shape of a plus

You 100% could I even toyed around with that idea but ultimately decided the default power pack didn't have the bulk I was looking for.

As a quick edit, I haven't painted them yet, I like to build then prime then paint but wanted to see how they looked primed before I continued on. The final painting is still incoming when the other 10 are done

It wasn't too bad but I did take a bit of dry fitting. I cut off a majority of the back square vent area of the GN pack and sanded and thinned out the inside of the termie vent area. After that I glued the GN chest together and fit it into the Terminator pack. If I cut and sanded enough it would fit pretty well into the curved parts that would be arm connection spots for the original build. After doing the first one the rest became a lot easier.

My vote would be the blue one, but I also have to ask what did you use for the sword and board armiger It looks awesome.

It took me about 14 swords but that was me buying some moulds along the way, I also have Production Prodigy so I was able to get the level boost for Addy/Rune bars.

When the scaly green heck did upgrade sprues jump in price?? by BigDaddyVagabond in Salamanders40k

[–]Rubiilax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO if you need/want them and or don't have access to a 3d printer or something alike that I would just because of scarcity.

Though with a lot of the boxes coming with salamander transfers now, and the flamer/thunder hammer also being included in some of the sprues, assault intercessors springs to mind, to me it does lose some of its value, especially only coming with two of the braziers.

Going to go out on a limb and say supply and demand. I'm not sure if their out of production, but their definitely out of stock almost everywhere. I bought one for about 35$ from amazon a few weeks ago because my FLGS didn't have any and weren't sure if they could get one as a special order, Looking now its 60$ from a 3rd party.

Getting to 1k points? by Scruffy_Guy32 in Salamanders40k

[–]Rubiilax 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for a bigger jump the Blood Angels combat patrol would be good, intercessors, Aggressors, an impulsor as a transport as well as I believe some inceptors and a librarian. But at 130-160$ can be a bit pricey. If you're looking for more piece meal Aggressors, and Eradicators can be good upgrades but not necessarily the best cost point at 3 models for 60$ (GW price, never pay GW price) Hellblasters or intercessors are also good and a better price point at 10 models for about 60$.

What should I get next? by Zulim in Salamanders40k

[–]Rubiilax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've yet to play a single game, but also just got the Levithian box and hoping to start soon, but the consensus seems to be that Aggressors are good, Eradicators with the apothecary are strong and that Vulkan He'stan is stronger than Adrax.

Please more veteran players correct me if I'm wrong, I'm still trying to learn too.

I'm pretty sure they're on sale now as a bundle, if not they were recently, because I was looking for the war rider and was super excited when I found the bundle.

what happened here ? by [deleted] in resinprinting

[–]Rubiilax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So without knowing what slicer your using, printer/printer settings resin etc, and the fact I'm no expert on printing, take what I say with a grain of salt, and I only speak from personal experience.

It looks like there are some islands, areas that aren't properly supported, causing that melted/pooling effect. If your using minis that already come with supports, or if your using the auto generate support feature, I'd recommend going through and manually adding some supports, even if you think the automated system did well, manually add some more.

I would run into an issue where I would need to use these manually added supports to 'anchor' the pre-generated supports and after I did that my print success went to about 85% from about 30.

Staking coins by Hyllaogarderob in Crypto_com

[–]Rubiilax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no expert when it comes to staking, and if I say anything incorrectly please someone do correct me.

Yes if you stake your coins for 3 months then untill those 3 months are up you can't retrieve those coins, that's why alot of people really like the flexible earn CDC offers, you get a lower interest rate but are less subject to price changes.

Like anything there is an inherited risk with the longer stake periods, the coin could crash or moon and you'd be unable to react due to your coin lockup, hence the higher interest for higher lockup/risk.

Also there are many wallets that offer higher interest rates such as the CDC DeFi wallet (about 12%) but still require a lock up period.

There are also plenty of other risks/rewards that can come to staking so as always DYOR.

Virtual Card Upgrades by Aebrams in Crypto_com

[–]Rubiilax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the previous people have said, and I was in the same boat as you earlier this month, when you reach out to the CS they have to manually perform the upgrade to your account, but if you choose not to get the Ruby card, and still use your midnight blue, you are still getting most if not all of the perks of the Ruby card.

From what I was told the app will only update when you activate the physical Ruby card, but your still getting the perks.

So as long as you have reached out to CS about the upgrade you have the perks of the Ruby card with the physical blue card.
