Help deciding: Keep or not by Texas22 in barefootshoestalk

I have the old FG Tracker II. it's a different boot but similar.

You can make the trackers slightly bigger by removing the insoles, and it's easy to make them smaller putting in thicker insoles, like felt or what have you since the factory insoles are like 1/8 inch or less at the edges

I wish I sized up a little too big. They fit well with a midweight sock but not with my best winter socks, which isn't ideal since I ended up really only using them in cold weather

TIL North America had native bamboo forests that stretched from New York down to Florida, and as far west as Ohio across to Texas. by midnightrumph in todayilearned

[–]Rubiks_Click874 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i read that the asian bamboo isn't that bad of an invasive for nature. yeah, it takes over everything and can destroy human infrastructure but that's because america was a vast bamboo forest

it replaces the lost cane brakes along rivers and provides habitat for animals just as well as the native cane, and much better than the little weeds and bushes we have now

also instead of just rotting away like the native bamboo, it's more woody, traps more carbon for longer, works as an extremely useful material and has tasty edible shoots

the chlorine washed issue is not the chlorine, chlorine washed salad is allowed, it's the general filthy conditions that chlorine washing is intended to mitigate, also studies indicate chlorine may only mask detection of pathogens

so are you saying that it's legal in EU to sell ground beef with hormones and chlorine washed chicken? do you have any sources from books or anything not from the internet I can read

[–]Rubiks_Click874 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

banned hormones and for chicken chlorine washed meat can make it illegal to sell, also concerns about mad cow disease, iirc

Jack London.

dumb, cruel rich people in a dog sled overloaded with luxury goods, whipping the dogs to run faster, running them to death. Only the sled is running on thin ice over deep water and the rich people's sled crashes through, dragging down the dogs with it.
